In this key role, you will lead and oversee data governance strategies, ensuring our data assets are well-managed, secure, and compliant with industry standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of data governance strategies, policies, and processes for data management.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement effective data governance practices that meet both regulatory and business needs.
- Oversee data quality, security, and compliance efforts, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all data sets.
- Implement and manage data governance tools, particularly Data bricks and Purview, to optimize the management of large-scale data sets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive data governance initiatives and ensure data is accessible, accurate, and secure.
- Enhance the culture of the company, working cross-functionally to ensure communication between different teams and implement data governance principles
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the data governance team, ensuring ongoing professional development and best practices.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Insurance industry experience is essential, with a deep understanding of insurance data regulations, standards, and practices.
- Proven experience in managing data governance processes, with hands-on expertise in Databricks and Purview.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance regulations, particularly in the context of the insurance industry.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.

Are you experienced in data governance and passionate about implementing data cataloguing solutions? A leading FTSE 100 company is seeking a skilled Data Governance Analyst to help implement a new data cataloguing tool from scratch, focusing on improving data management and governance processes.
THE COMPANY:
This well-established, global organization is a leader in their industry, known for its commitment to excellence in data-driven decision-making and digital transformation. They are now looking to enhance their data governance strategy and build a robust data cataloguing framework.
THE ROLE:
As a Data Governance Analyst, you will play a key role in the implementation of a data cataloguing tool (Precisely) from the ground up. This will involve setting up the tool, managing data governance processes, and ensuring compliance with internal standards. You’ll work closely with various teams to define data policies, governance structures, and best practices.
Specific duties as a Data Governance Analyst include:
- Implement and configure the Precisely data cataloguing tool from scratch
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand data governance needs and align with business objectives
- Define data governance policies and processes, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance
- Ensure the successful deployment of data cataloguing across the organization
- Collaborate with data teams to ensure effective data classification, metadata management, and data lineage
- Provide training and support to internal teams on the usage of the data cataloguing tool
- Monitor and report on the progress of the implementation, identifying any areas for improvement
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The successful Data Governance Analyst will have the following skills and experience:
- Strong experience in data governance, with a focus on data cataloguing tools
- Hands-on experience implementing and configuring data cataloguing tools (preferably Precisely)
- Knowledge of data management frameworks, data quality standards, and best practices
- Proven track record of working within data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
THE BENEFITS:
- Competitive rate of £400 – £500 per day, inside IR35
- Initial 6-month contract
- Hybrid working arrangement: 2-3 days in the London office, with the rest remote

THE COMPANY:
Join a leading UK company and contribute to the Data Management & Governance initiative.
THE ROLE:
As a Data Governance Analyst, you will be supporting on the implementation of the data catalogue platform, Precisely. Your role will include:
- Configuring the selected data governance platform including business glossary, data registers, workflows, user groups and user profiles, reference data, and relationships.
- Supporting on data governance/data quality initiatives.
- Providing training and coaching to system users.
- Manage the build and maintenance of critical data source connections, ensuring refreshes are scheduled and representative of the current data landscape.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The successful Data Governance Analyst will be required to have the following experience:
- Proven experience as a Data Governance Analyst or in a similar role.
- Supported on implementing a data catalogue tool such as Collibra, Alation, or Informatica, but Precisely is the preferred option.
- Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
- Previous experience with querying data in SQL or Python.
- Desirable experience would be experience working with customer, geographical, or finance data.
