Director of Data Architecture & Governance

Location: San Antonio, TX (On-site)

Salary: $160,000 – $190,000 base

The Role

We’re hiring a Director of Data Architecture & Governance to build the foundation of enterprise data across a complex, multi-system environment. This is a highly strategic, hands-on leadership role. You’ll define the data architecture, implement governance standards, and ensure trusted, compliant data flows across core business systems-spanning finance, operations, HR, and more.

This is the right role for someone who’s led data strategy at scale and is ready to take ownership of a company-wide transformation.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and maintain enterprise data systems including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time pipelines
• Define and enforce data governance policies across business-critical systems (POS, HRIS, finance, supply chain, etc.)
• Standardize metadata, master data, lineage, and stewardship practices across the organization
• Select and implement tools for data cataloging, access control, and classification
• Partner with Legal, IT, HR, and Operations to ensure responsible and compliant data usage
• Lead data quality efforts including validation, cleansing, and auditing
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on data infrastructure, risk, and scalability

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, governance, or enterprise data management
• Proven ability to design scalable, cloud-based data systems (e.g., AWS, GCP, Snowflake)
• Experience with governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA, DMBOK) and compliance requirements (e.g., CCPA, PCI)
• Familiarity with ETL tools, metadata platforms, and data security standards
• Strong leadership, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills
• A systems thinker with a passion for building clean, scalable, business-ready data environments

What You’ll Own

What You Bring

Senior Data Governance Analyst

Salary: up to £40,000

Based: Birmingham – 3x week in office

Salary: up to £80,000

Based: Birmingham – hybrid, 3x week

About the Role

An established financial service organisation is looking for a Head of Data Governance – a strategic and driven leader to take the reins. As Head of Data Governance, you’ll work closely with our CDO and CIO to define the roadmap, close gaps, and align governance across business functions.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement the data governance roadmap
• Lead gap analysis and risk reporting for executive and regulatory needs
• Build a high-performing team, supporting existing analysts and incoming managers
• Develop, refine, and implement policies on data privacy, ownership, lineage, and control

Technical Data Product Manager

Salary: up to £90,000 + discretionary 20% bonus

Location: Hybrid – 3 days/week in London

We’re working with a fast-growing, data-led company in the financial services space, currently looking for a Technical Data Product Manager to take ownership of the strategy and development of business intelligence products.

You’ll be shaping how the business builds and scales its internal analytics and reporting capability.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of BI product development – from ideation and stakeholder alignment to delivery and continuous improvement
• Own the roadmap for data products, ensuring they align with business goals and user needs
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of Data Engineers and BI Developers (currently 5 people)
• Help define metrics and reporting standards for various business units
• Translate complex requirements into scalable BI solutions, primarily using Power BI

Essential Requirements

• Product Management experience focused on BI and internal data tools
• Technical experience with:
• Cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure)
• SQL (intermediate to advanced)
