Role Details
- Role type: AI SME / AI Readiness Expert (Strategic Advisory)
- Location: Remote, EST hours (occasional office visits in NYC optional)
- Contract length: Initial 4 months with potential extension
- Utilization: Full‑time, 40 hours per week
Intro to role
This is a senior advisory role focused on understanding current AI maturity and defining a practical path forward. You will evaluate capabilities, benchmark against peer institutions, and help leadership make informed decisions on AI investment and delivery. The environment is heavily regulated, with tight controls around data and model usage.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess current enterprise AI maturity across people, process, and technology.
- Build enterprise‑level AI readiness assessments and roadmaps.
- Benchmark AI capabilities against peer European banking institutions.
- Advise senior leadership on compliant AI implementation approaches.
- Translate regulatory constraints into practical delivery guidance.
- Support executive decision‑making with clear, structured recommendations.
Requirements: Must have

Director, Public & Private Cloud Engineering
A global semiconductor and engineering-led organisation is looking for a Director of Public & Private Cloud Engineering to lead an enterprise cloud platform organisation focused on connecting private and public cloud into one unified environment.
This is a highly strategic leadership role with a strong delivery focus, leading a global engineering organisation across cloud platform engineering, SRE, DevOps, and infrastructure functions.
The Role
Reporting into senior technology leadership, this person will oversee an organisation of 50-100 engineers and leaders across the US and India while driving the evolution of a connected cloud platform environment across both private and public cloud.
The organisation already has strong technical capability across cloud and infrastructure, but the current environment remains fragmented across teams and platforms. This role is focused on bringing those environments together, building alignment across engineering functions, and driving platform delivery across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a global cloud engineering organisation across platform engineering, SRE, DevOps, and infrastructure
* Drive strategy and delivery across both private and public cloud environments
* Connect siloed infrastructure and platform functions into a unified cloud platform
* Partner closely with senior technical leadership and architecture teams to deliver cloud initiatives
* Oversee Kubernetes, compute, storage, networking, GPU infrastructure, and cloud services across modern environments
* Improve reliability, scalability, automation, and operational efficiency across cloud platforms
* Build trust, autonomy, and strong engineering culture across distributed teams
* Drive modern infrastructure practices using open source tooling and infrastructure-as-code approaches
Required Experience
* 12+ years across cloud, infrastructure, platform engineering, or private cloud environments
* Experience leading managers and senior engineering leaders within enterprise organisations
* Strong experience across both private and public cloud environments
* Deep expertise across AWS plus additional public cloud exposure preferred
* Strong infrastructure automation and IaC experience using Terraform, Ansible, Python, or similar tooling
* Experience building or scaling internal infrastructure platforms or cloud engineering environments
* Strong understanding of networking, security, distributed systems, and infrastructure operations
* Proven ability to deliver technical strategy within complex engineering environments
Preferred Background
* Kubernetes or OpenShift platform leadership experience
* Experience within large enterprise or engineering-led organisations
* Exposure to AI/ML, GPU, or high-performance compute environments
* Strong open source tooling experience

Their platform brings together complex financial information to provide clients with a clear, holistic view of their finances and support better long-term decisions. The business has grown rapidly and continues to invest heavily in its data and technology capabilities. The culture is collaborative, delivery-focused, and values ownership and clarity.
The Role
As Head of Data Strategy and Governance, you will define and embed how data is owned, managed, and trusted across the organisation. You will work closely with technology, product, and senior stakeholders to ensure data quality underpins every insight and client outcome.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and delivering the data strategy, operating model, and governance framework across the business
- Establishing clear data ownership, standards, and accountability in a federated environment
- Leading data quality initiatives to address real-world issues across multiple data sources
- Building and maintaining a single source of truth, including data dictionaries and master data approaches
- Overseeing the data platform within an AWS and Databricks environment, ensuring scalability and reliability
- Providing strategic oversight of BI and analytics, partnering with teams to enable trusted reporting
- Managing and developing a multi-disciplinary data team spanning operations, governance, and BI
Your Skills and Experience
- Strong commercial experience in data strategy, data governance, and operating model design
- Deep understanding of data quality management, controls, and frameworks
- Experience working with modern cloud data platforms, including AWS and Databricks
- Ability to translate complex data and governance concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with the confidence to lead change in a scaling organisation
- Background in regulated or data-intensive environments is beneficial
