The Role
As a Data Management Consultant, you’ll play a key role in advising clients on how to manage and leverage their data effectively. You’ll work on a variety of projects, helping organizations improve data governance, quality, architecture, integration, and compliance.
You’ll work closely with clients to understand their needs, develop tailored strategies, and implement data solutions that support business goals.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients to assess current data management practices and identify areas for improvement.

Design and implement data governance frameworks, data quality strategies, and metadata management solutions.

Support clients with data architecture planning and integration across systems.

Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and industry standards.

Deliver data management roadmaps and best practices.

Act as a trusted advisor, supporting clients through change and adoption of new data practices.

Work alongside internal teams including analytics, IT, and project management.
Requirements
-
Proven experience in a data management, data governance, or data consulting role.

Strong understanding of data frameworks, standards, and best practices.

Familiarity with tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Talend, or similar.

Solid grasp of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.
-
Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable insights.
-
Consultancy or client-facing experience is a strong plus.

Role: Data Governance Manager
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000
Location: Hybrid – 2 to 3 days per week in-office (Kings Hill or London)
Overview
Our client is seeking a Data Governance Manager to lead the design and delivery of a unified data governance framework across UK, US, and Canada operations. This role will play a key part in their ongoing data transformation programme, ensuring the delivery of compliant, high-quality, fit-for-purpose data to end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and embed a global data governance framework
- Collaborate with technology, data, and business teams to ensure effective, compliant data sharing
- Define and implement policies, procedures, and data standards across CAF entities
- Integrate Microsoft Purview into governance workflows
- Lead data quality improvement initiatives
- Establish KPIs to measure governance effectiveness
- Design and deliver internal data governance training

Director of Data Governance
Location: Florida (Hybrid – 2 days/week on-site)
Salary: $120,000-$160,000
Join a forward-thinking leader in the property and casualty insurance space, where data meets deep industry expertise to deliver personalized, customer-first insurance solutions. This is an opportunity to drive real change in a highly regulated, data-rich environment.
The Role
As Director of Data Governance, you’ll be the strategic lead shaping how data is managed, protected, and utilized across the organization. You’ll work across departments to embed governance practices into day-to-day operations while ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a company-wide data governance framework that supports business objectives and regulatory compliance
- Own and enhance Microsoft Purview to manage metadata, data cataloging, lineage, and classification
- Define data standards, ownership structures, and policies in close partnership with stakeholders across the business
- Collaborate with IT, Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment with frameworks such as GDPR and Solvency II
- Promote a culture of data literacy and accountability through training, documentation, and internal advocacy
- Track and analyze data quality KPIs, leading efforts to identify and resolve issues at the source
Your Background:
- Significant experience in data governance or data management, ideally within insurance or other regulated industries
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Purview is a must
- Strong understanding of data privacy laws, compliance frameworks, and governance best practices
- Confident communicator who can engage with both technical teams and senior leadership
- Familiarity with SQL, Collibra, and Informatica is a plus
