About the Role
We are looking for a Data Analytics Engineer who sits at the intersection of data engineering and analytics. In this role, you will transform raw, messy data from vehicles, APIs, and operational systems into clean, reliable datasets that are trusted and widely used-from engineering teams to executive leadership.
You will own data pipelines end to end and build dashboards that surface insights, track performance, and help teams quickly identify issues.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines that ingest data from diverse internal systems into a centralized analytics warehouse
- Work with unique and high-volume datasets, including vehicle telemetry, sensor-derived signals, logistics data, and system test results
- Write efficient, well-structured SQL to model and prepare data for analysis and reporting
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards (e.g., Grafana or similar) used to monitor system performance and operational health
- Partner closely with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable datasets
- Explore internal AI- and LLM-based tools to automate analysis and uncover new insights
What You’ll Need
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and data libraries such as pandas, Polars, or similar
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, and query optimization
- Proven experience building and operating ETL pipelines using modern data tooling
- Experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, Tableau, Looker)
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
- High-level understanding of LLMs and interest in applying them to data and analytics workflows

Overview
Reporting into the Head of Operations, this role has been created due to a gap in internal Information Governance capability. The programme spans multiple stakeholders and delivery partners, with complex and shared datasets.
The focus is to establish strong governance foundations and support the rollout of a secure, centralised digital platform that will act as a single source of truth for operational and customer data.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and assess existing data governance practices and controls
* Design and implement a practical, fit-for-purpose data governance framework
* Deliver full data mapping and visibility across the data ecosystem (flows, owners, risks)
* Define and embed governance tooling, standards and processes
* Lead on DPIAs, DSARs and Data Protection Act compliance
* Support the rollout of a secure centralised platform used by internal teams and external partners
* Advise stakeholders on best practice, risk mitigation and compliance
* Ensure data integrity, consistency and appropriate controls across multiple projects
Day-to-Day Focus

Requirements

THE ROLE:
The Information Governance Officer role supports the design and implementation of a practical, fit-for-purpose data governance framework.
You will work across multiple data projects, helping to map complex data flows, define governance standards, and ensure compliance as new digital platforms and data services are rolled out. The role requires someone who can operate strategically while also delivering at pace.
Key responsibilities include:
- Mapping the end-to-end data ecosystem across multiple teams and organisations
- Designing and embedding a data governance framework
- Supporting delivery of a secure, centralised digital data platform
- Advising on and completing DSARs and DPIAs
- Defining data ownership, access, and data flow models

A large, well-established organisation with a strong strategic focus on data and AI. While the business is sizeable, the data function itself is relatively lean, offering the successful Data Manager / Data Projects Lead the opportunity to have real ownership, visibility, and impact across multiple workstreams.
THE ROLE:
As a Data Manager / Data Projects Lead, your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and coordinate four key organisation-wide data projects
- Spend 50% of the time on data literacy initiatives and 50% on wider data projects
- Own and drive the organisation’s data literacy agenda, improving data confidence and capability
- Assess project demand and understand current vs. target-state delivery
- Audit priorities across existing data infrastructure and strategy
- Support prioritisation and alignment across multiple data workstreams
- Work closely with senior stakeholders
- Act as a coordinating lead for data activities (without direct line management)
- Gather requirements and ensure alignment with the data team
- Roll up sleeves to create materials, presentations, and supporting content
- Translate data problems into clear, engaging outputs (including AI-supported presentations where relevant)
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience leading or coordinating data literacy, data enablement, or data change initiatives
- Strong grounding in data governance, analytics, visualisation, and storytelling
- Experience working in large organisations with small data teams (or consultancy backgrounds)
- Ability to assess project demand, define priorities, and align teams to delivery plans
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with HR, data, and senior business leaders

THE ROLE:
As a Data Governance Analyst, Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the implementation of updated data governance policies and associated workflows
- Managing and embedding the Data Governance Management (DGM) toolkit, including definitions, lineage, and ownership assignment
- Conducting and following up on data policy and compliance assessments for new initiatives and features
- Working closely with stakeholders to introduce governance processes into day-to-day business operations
- Maintaining and structuring the Data Hub as the central source for data policies, standards, and processes
- Communicating governance changes, updates, and best practices clearly across the business
- Supporting data classification initiatives, including adoption, implementation, and training
- Liaising with third-party suppliers to ensure governance and catalogue tools are being used effectively

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The successful Data Governance Analyst will have:
- Experience in data governance, data management, or a closely related data role
- Working knowledge of GDPR, including DSARs and DPIAs
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate data-related concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A solid understanding of technical data terminology, with a background in BI, data analysis, or analytics being highly beneficial
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple governance workstreams
