THE ROLE- Director of Analytics

My client is seeking a technically astute Analytics professional to lead a high-impact analytics function that powers data-driven decision-making across the business. In this role, you’ll lead a small team of analysts and work closely with senior stakeholders across Consumer Insights, Operations, and Marketing Insights to deliver insights that drive growth, optimize performance, and improve efficiency.

They are looking for a business-minded analytics leader who combines deep expertise in enterprise and predictive analytics with a strong grasp of digital performance metrics. You’ll play a pivotal role in transforming data into strategic action.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the analytics function and mentor a lean team of analysts.
  • Design and execute analytics strategies that support business growth, cost optimization, and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with Consumer Insights, Operations, and Marketing Insights teams to define KPIs and develop data-driven strategies.
  • Translate complex business questions into analytical solutions, dashboards, and clear, actionable insights.
  • Own and implement enterprise analytics tools including Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Python or R.
  • Utilize digital tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track customer behavior and optimize digital channel performance.
  • Establish consistent, enterprise-level reporting standards and frameworks.
  • Present findings clearly and persuasively to executives and cross-functional stakeholders.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ample progressive experience in enterprise analytics with a strong record of improving business performance.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale analytics initiatives that resulted in measurable business impact (e.g., revenue growth, cost savings).
  • Technical fluency in Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python or R.
  • Expertise in web and digital analytics, particularly Google Analytics.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to simplify complex data for executive audiences.
  • Proven leadership experience with small, high-performing teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with executive visibility

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work for one of the leading television and entertainment providers. You will sit on their Research and Insights team, where you will analyze customer behavior, survey results, industry trends, etc. to help drive business insights. This will be a heavy client-facing role.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Analyze survey data from tools like Suzy (ad-hoc research) and Kantar (brand lift measurement) to provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with various teams to support study activation and monitor research studies for accuracy and timeliness using Salesforce.
  • Communicate regularly with third-party vendors to ensure smooth project execution and data accuracy.
  • Manage ongoing reports, deliver insights to internal stakeholders, and ensure timely results for clients and advertisers.
  • Participate in client-facing sessions, providing insights and contributing to discussions with advertisers and internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in market or survey research, preferably in the media or entertainment industry.
