Overview:
A fast-growing marketplace is seeking a BI Analyst to take full ownership of their Looker BI environment on a 6-month contract. You will work closely with Insights, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to improve reporting accessibility, optimise BI performance, and establish strong governance and best-practice standards.
This role is fully remote and offers the opportunity to drive BI improvements from concept through to deployment within a small, collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain Looker dashboards that support business decision-making
- Optimise and scale Looker instances to improve performance
- Partner with Insights and Finance teams to enhance reporting and self-service BI

The Opportunity
A leading marketplace platform is seeking an experienced BI Analyst with strong Looker & LookML expertise to support a major overhaul of their analytics environment. You will work across engineering and insights functions to improve reporting, rebuild Looker models, and introduce governance standards that enable self-serve analytics.
The organisation has recently moved responsibility for ~80 Looker models into the engineering team. Data quality is currently poor, and they need a contractor capable of operating at scale-not someone who has only worked on one or two models. This role will suit someone who has owned or re-architected large Looker ecosystems.
What You’ll Be Doing

Partner with engineering, insights, finance and wider stakeholders to understand reporting needs.

Overview:

Responsibilities:

Carry out a full audit of existing offer and partner data, assessing quality, accuracy, completeness, and performance.

We are partnering with a fast growing company at the intersection of fintech, gaming, and digital commerce to hire a Director of Analytics and Data Engineering. This leader will own the company wide data strategy, data ecosystem, and data organization.

The Opportunity
You will turn data into a strategic, revenue enabling asset by architecting and running a modern data stack that powers real time analytics, forecasting, ML insights, and regulatory reporting. This includes building semantic layers, unified source of truth datasets, experimentation frameworks, and high-quality telemetry.
You will oversee the full data lifecycle so product, commercial, risk, and compliance teams have timely, trusted data that drives GTM strategy, financial planning, customer analytics, churn modeling, fraud detection, and product optimization.
What You Will Lead
- Enterprise data strategy, roadmaps, data product vision, and multi year investment planning
- Data governance including cataloging, lineage, metadata, SLAs, access controls, and auditability, plus standardized KPIs and metric definitions
- Modern data architecture including real time pipelines, event streaming, warehousing, lakes, modeling, orchestration, and CI/CD for analytics and ML
- Analytics leadership across BI, self service, dashboarding, reporting, product analytics, forecasting, experimentation, and cohort analysis
- Data science enablement for predictive models, risk scoring, automated decisioning, and personalization, with infrastructure to deploy models
- Team leadership across data engineering, BI, analytics, and applied science including hiring, mentorship, operational rigor, and quality standards
- Cross functional partnership with Product, Engineering, FP&A, Compliance, and GTM to support product innovation, financial modeling, AML and KYC workflows, and market expansion
- Data activation through dashboards, workflow automation, internal data apps, and decision support tools
What You Bring
- 10+years in data with at least 3 in senior leadership
- Experience in high growth fintech, payments, or regulated financial services
- Proven ability to build and scale enterprise data ecosystems
- Expertise in data governance, quality, and regulatory compliance including AML and KYC
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Technical depth in cloud warehouses, modeling, ETL and ELT, orchestration, and BI
- Strong SQL and familiarity with Python
- Experience with AWS data services and infrastructure as code

The Role
This contract has been created to keep a high-volume reporting workstream moving while the wider team focuses on the Databricks migration. You’ll own a mix of Tableau, SQL and SSRS development work, supporting business stakeholders and maintaining existing reporting across the estate.
Day-to-day, you’ll gather requirements directly from stakeholders, build and amend dashboards, develop SQL objects, and keep key reporting processes running smoothly. You’ll also support documentation, participate in code reviews, and contribute to best practice across the BI function.
Success in this project looks like:
- Stable delivery of BAU reporting
- Smooth migration of legacy reports into Databricks
- High-quality SQL and Tableau deliverables that stakeholders can self-serve from
