This company was founded over 20 years ago and is the worlds leading company in beds and mattress category. It is a well renowned and much-loved national brand which has been awarded UK ‘super brand’ status for 20 consecutive years. There is currently a team of 3 and they are looking to massively scale up by the end of the year and expand the team to 6-7 individuals.
THIS ROLE
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be…
- Designing and developing scalable and reliable pipelines to ingest and store data from various sources
- Working closely with data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions
- Leading and guiding less experienced data engineers, providing technical leadership and sharing best practices.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Senior Data Engineer will have the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering
- Utilising cloud platforms specifically Azure
- Utilising best practices – CI/CD
- Will still be relatively close to code and therefore have good Python and SQL skills
- Experience with utilising Kubernetes, Terraform and Big query
- A bit of software experience would be useful

The Role
