Director of Data Science

Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)

Salary: $250-350k depending on experience

We’re partnering with a leading private equity-backed consumer platform to hire a Director of Data Science to lead and scale an enterprise-level data science function.

This role sits at the intersection of investment strategy, portfolio performance, and advanced analytics, with direct influence on how data science, machine learning, and Generative AI are used to drive value across a large multi-brand ecosystem.

The Role

You’ll own the vision, execution, and growth of the Data Science function, leading a high-performing team and partnering closely with senior leaders across strategy, engineering, product, and investment teams.

The work spans commercial due diligence, forecasting, pricing, experimentation, marketing analytics, and GenAI tooling, with a strong emphasis on building scalable, production-grade solutions that drive measurable business impact.

This is a player-coach role – hands-on where needed, strategic where it counts.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and grow the Data Science team, setting technical standards and best practices
• Define the long-term roadmap, tooling, and architecture for applied data science
• Partner with investment and portfolio teams on predictive modeling and value creation
• Drive the adoption and impact of Generative AI and agentic workflows
• Own the full model lifecycle, from problem framing through production deployment
• Translate complex analytics into clear, executive-level insights

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of applied data science / ML experience
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with proven production deployment experience
• Experience leading and scaling technical teams
• Deep expertise in forecasting, experimentation, pricing, and causal analysis
• Strong business judgment and executive communication skills

Nice to have: consumer / retail / QSR exposure, multi-brand environments, PE or consulting background, advanced degree, and a strong point of view on how GenAI tools are reshaping data science workflows.

Software Engineering Lead, Data & Analytics

Location: US Remote (preferred states – Georgia, Alabama, New York, Colorado, Florida)

Salary: $160-180k base + bonus

We’re partnering with a large, well-capitalized private equity platform to hire a Senior Software Engineer to support and scale their growing Data & Analytics organization.

This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, data infrastructure, and analytics products, with a direct line of sight into how data is used to drive investment decisions and portfolio performance across a global, multi-brand ecosystem.

The Opportunity

The business is investing heavily in its internal data and analytics capabilities. This hire will play a key role in building the software foundations that allow data scientists and analysts to deliver production-ready insights.

You’ll work closely with data science, analytics, and engineering teams to translate business problems into scalable, reliable analytics products, including data pipelines, internal applications, and modern user interfaces.

This is a hands-on engineering role with end-to-end ownership across the full development lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Partner with data science and analytics teams to turn business problems into engineered solutions
• Build and maintain data pipelines and cloud infrastructure supporting analytics and ML workloads
• Develop production-ready analytics tools and internal applications delivered through modern UIs
• Support analytics solutions from exploratory analysis through prototyping, validation, and deployment
• Build custom packages and services, including automated CI/CD pipelines with testing
• Work across ETL frameworks to support new and existing data feeds
• Stay current on modern software engineering tools and best practices

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience building and deploying production systems end to end
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and JavaScript (or similar languages)
• Experience designing and operating cloud-based architectures using Docker, Kubernetes, and related tools
• Background working closely with data science and analytics teams
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience building analytics or data-heavy products used by business teams
• Familiarity with GCP, BigQuery, Postgres, and Flask
