THE ROLE
As a Research Director, you will be involved in the following:
- Leading end-to-end qualitative projects, primarily within the automotive sector. You’ll work on complex, multi-year product development programmes, supporting clients from early-stage concept work through to launch.
- The role blends hands-on research delivery with project leadership and light people management.
- You’ll take ownership of proposals, costing, fieldwork execution, analysis, and client storytelling, while also supporting junior team members through project-based management.
- Regular research conducted across Europe and occasional international projects further afield.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in market research with a strong qualitative focus
- Proven exposure to the automotive sector is essential
- Comfortable working in a small, agile consultancy environment where everyone is hands-on
- Strong experience across the full project lifecycle: proposals, costing, fieldwork, analysis, and debriefs
- Expertise in qualitative methodologies such as focus groups, online communities, comms testing, and ethnography
- Confident working directly with senior clients and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously

What You’ll Do
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will:
- Design, build, and deploy ML models for gameplay, personalization, prediction, and player behavior analysis
- Collaborate with game designers, backend engineers, and data teams to integrate ML into live game systems
- Develop scalable ML pipelines using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Run, etc.)
- Work with real-time and batch data to support analytics and in-game decision systems
- Maintain and improve MLOps workflows for training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring
- Contribute to a culture of experimentation, rapid iteration, and creative problem-solving
️ What They’re Looking For
Required:
- 2-4+ years of experience in Machine Learning or Data Science engineering roles
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Hands-on experience with GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, etc.)
- Experience building and deploying ML models in production

CRM Lead (HubSpot) – London / Hybrid
