CRM Manager

Nottingham (Hybrid) | Up to £50,000

Are you passionate about using data, customer insight, and engagement strategy to build meaningful supporter relationships? This is a rare opportunity to create and lead a donor retention function from the ground up within a well-established international charity. With strong acquisition activity already in place, you'll have the autonomy to shape the supporter experience, drive long-term retention, and deliver measurable fundraising impact.

The Company

They are a respected international non-profit organisation delivering humanitarian and development programmes across multiple regions worldwide. Their work spans emergency relief, education, healthcare, clean water, and community support initiatives, helping vulnerable communities build brighter futures.

Following an organisational transformation, they are investing heavily in their fundraising capability and bringing greater coordination to their supporter engagement strategy. This newly created role sits at the heart of that growth and offers significant scope to influence future direction.

The Role

You will lead the development of a donor engagement and retention strategy, designing journeys that strengthen supporter relationships and encourage long-term giving.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing donor retention, engagement, and reactivation strategies
  • Building multi-channel supporter journeys across email, SMS, digital, and other engagement channels
  • Using donor data and audience insights to create meaningful segmentation and personalised experiences
  • Establishing testing, reporting, and optimisation frameworks to improve retention performance
  • Monitoring key retention metrics and delivering actionable performance reporting
  • Collaborating with fundraising, marketing, content, and operational teams to deliver campaigns
  • Managing retention budgets and supporting best practices across donor care activities
  • Identifying opportunities to improve supporter experience and increase lifetime value

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in CRM, customer retention, donor engagement, or lifecycle marketing
  • Ability to develop strategy and translate it into practical campaigns and measurable outcomes
  • Confident using data, segmentation, and performance analysis to drive decision-making
  • Experience managing multi-channel customer or supporter journeys
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working in a growing environment where processes and strategies are evolving
  • Previous fundraising or charity sector experience is beneficial but not essential

What They Offer

  • Opportunity to build and shape a new retention function
  • Significant autonomy and influence over strategy
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders and organisational transformation projects
  • Long-term career progression as the fundraising team continues to grow
  • Opportunity to contribute to meaningful programmes with global impact
