The Role
This is an opportunity for a motivated Full Stack Engineer to shape user experience and technical architecture as the first in this role. Working in a collaborative environment, you will have the chance to contribute to the product’s frontend and backend while building a world-class scientific computing platform. Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement user-friendly web applications using modern frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate designs into high-quality code for a responsive, intuitive experience.
- Collaborate with platform developers to define and integrate APIs, ensuring seamless data flow between the client and core platform.

THE COMPANY
This company is an innovative subsidiary of an electronics manufacturer that is pushing the boundaries of generative AI for wellbeing. Their team is half applied research, half product deployment for novel health-tech multimodal applications. They are looking for a technical leader who will own the applied science half of the equation, building out multimodal and transformer-based models.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build multimodal models for generative AI applications – speech, audio, text, image and video extraction / recognition
- Lead the applied science technical strategy; roughly 40% hands on, 60% project leadership / stakeholder management
- Partner with commercial and research departments across the organization to develop solutions for customer wellbeing
- Stay on the cutting edge of multimodal and AI to ensure the company is continuing to push the envelope in the space
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the business and interact with stakeholders
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- MS/ PhD in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Statistics, or similar STEM field
- 9 years commercial experience building production-grade multimodal applications
- History of leading data/applied science projects
- Comfortable partnering with non-technical stakeholders
- Expert with Python (particularly natural language packages), NER, spaCy, NLTK, TensorFlow, PyTorch or Keras
- Comfortable with multiple types of transformers, RNN, CNN, LSTM, encoder / decoder, masked language models (MLM), autoregressive / machine translation or similar
