The Opportunity
A high-growth, vertically integrated DTC brand is hiring its first Senior Manager of Data & Analytics to architect and lead the company’s data strategy from the ground up. Following a period of explosive, triple-digit revenue growth and with full control over manufacturing, fulfillment, and customer experience, the company is now ready to make data a foundational pillar of scale.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll step into a pivotal, hands-on leadership role-owning everything from data architecture and infrastructure to analytics strategy, roadmap execution, and team development. You’ll build the systems and insights that power smarter decisions across marketing, supply chain, logistics, and digital experience.
This is a rare opportunity to take a blank slate and build a high-impact data function with executive backing, tangible influence, and end-to-end ownership.
What You’ll Do
- Own and execute the data vision: Evaluate the current state, define the roadmap, and implement scalable data infrastructure (Postgres, dbt, Fivetran, Omni).
- Lead from the front: Operate as a player-coach-balancing individual technical contribution with people leadership and cross-functional influence.
- Build and scale a high-impact team: Recruit and mentor data engineers, analysts, and data scientists as the function grows from 1-2 to 6-8 over time.
- Drive actionable insights: Deliver dashboards, models, and analytics that unlock better outcomes across the customer lifecycle, supply chain, and financial ops.
- Set the bar for excellence: Establish best practices in KPI design, instrumentation, experimentation, data governance, and measurement strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with senior leaders across Product, Marketing, Ops, and Engineering to ensure data becomes a competitive edge.

What We’re Looking For
- 7-10+ years of experience in data, analytics, or BI roles, with a track record of leadership-preferably in high-growth DTC, ecommerce, or consumer product environments.
- Proven success building a data function from the ground up-including architecture, tooling, team structure, and process implementation.
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL and Python, with a hands-on ability to build pipelines, deliver insights, and support scalable analytics solutions.
- Fluency with the modern data stack, including platforms such as dbt, Fivetran, Omni, or comparable tools.
- Thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous settings, with a bias for action and comfort making decisions without perfect information.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship experience, including hiring, coaching, and managing performance for technical talent.
- Willingness to travel regularly to the company’s HQ during onboarding (first 4-6 months) and periodically thereafter as needed.
Why This Role
- Greenfield Ownership: Build the function the right way-from tools and models to team and roadmap.
- Executive Visibility: Direct line to the CEO and meaningful influence on company direction.
- High-Growth Environment: Be part of a company scaling fast with clear demand for data maturity.

Shape the Future of Applied AI
We’re partnering with a fast-growing boutique consultancy that’s transforming how enterprise organizations envision, design, and deploy real-world AI solutions. With a footprint across North America and Europe, they work with some of the world’s most recognizable brands to turn strategic ambitions into scalable, production-ready systems.
This isn’t a research lab-it’s where cutting-edge AI meets real-world impact.
The Role
As the Head of Engineering (AI), you’ll be the first senior technical hire in the U.S., reporting directly to the Founder/CEO and NYC-based Managing Director. You’ll have near-complete autonomy to define the tech stack, establish engineering best practices, and build a lean, high-impact team from the ground up.
You’ll lead the development of AI-enabled software systems, guide enterprise client engagements, and play a key role in shaping the delivery model at the intersection of software, AI, and business transformation. With three immediate hires approved (Software Engineering + AI), you’ll have the opportunity to recruit and mentor a high-caliber team.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect full-stack, production-ready platforms across backend, frontend, and AI infrastructure
- Build and lead the development of LLM-based applications and internal AI tools
- Establish CI/CD pipelines, testing protocols, documentation standards, and engineering workflows
- Design and manage scalable cloud environments (local, staging, production)
- Implement and oversee AI infrastructure for prompt engineering, vector search, embeddings, and RAG
- Recruit, mentor, and scale a technical team spanning software, AI, and data
- Lead agile delivery on enterprise client projects in a consulting environment
- Collaborate closely with strategy, product, and AI leads to scope and ship impactful solutions
- Represent engineering in client-facing engagements with credibility and clear communication
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in software engineering, including leading teams or managing projects
- Strong backend or full-stack background (Python preferred)
- Demonstrated success building AI/ML systems from the ground up in production environments
- Expertise in modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps (Docker, CI/CD, etc.)
- Familiarity with LLM ecosystems (OpenAI, Hugging Face), LangChain, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation
- Consulting or client-facing experience, ideally within boutique or hybrid consulting models
- Strong coding ability combined with growing leadership and managerial capabilities
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
- A builder’s mindset: collaborative, execution-oriented, and focused on elegant, practical solutions
Why Join?
- Be the founding U.S. Head of Engineering for a high-growth AI consultancy
- Define the technology vision and delivery model from scratch
- Collaborate with world-class strategy, product, and AI experts
- Flexible remote work setup with East Coast alignment
- Competitive comp + bonus + long-term leadership potential
