This role will be sitting in the 2nd line delivering portfolio insights, developing scorecard models, overseeing model implementation, and developing lending strategies.
The Role
As a Senior Credit Portfolio Analyst, you will be:
- Developing and implementing credit risk strategies across different portfolios with the focus on mortgages.
- Developing scorecards for originations/acquisitions
- Implementation of scorecard models for the business
- Overseeing the model development and implementation across the banks portfolios
- Analysis of portfolio trends for actional insights for senior stakeholders
- Using SAS and Python daily in this role.
Your skills and experience
For you to be successful as a Senior Credit Portfolio Analyst, you will need:
- Strong experience working as a credit risk analyst for another bank/fintech
- Experience developing credit risk strategies for lending products.
- Experience using SAS and ideally python
- Experience developing or working on scorecard models

THE ROLE
You can expect to be involved in the following day-to-day:
- Produce regular reports for senior stakeholders, providing insight into current and projected claims indemnity performance to support monthly and quarterly executive updates.
- Analyse trends, anomalies, and opportunities in claims performance aligned with executive priorities.
- Develop and maintain robust data models (primarily using SAS), leveraging multiple data sources to deliver actionable insights across key performance metrics.
- Partner with operational teams to identify and implement initiatives that improve indemnity outcomes, ensuring follow-through to execution.
- Mentor and support junior analysts, with a focus on enhancing their technical capabilities, particularly in SAS.
- Work closely with Finance to monitor and demonstrate realised benefits across cost, income, and indemnity performance.
- Liaise with external benchmarking providers to supply accurate, detailed data for ongoing comparison against market standards and to inform internal performance indicators.
- Assist with modelling and forecasting the impact of internal and external factors on claims inflation.
- Represent the Claims Insight Manager in key meetings with stakeholders.
- Contribute to wider Performance team initiatives, applying skills flexibly to meet evolving business requirements.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience with data analysis using SAS or SQL.
- Previous experience using data and insights to understand claims performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Degree in a STEM subject.

The Role
This is a commercially-focused analytics role sitting within the property team, reporting into the Head of Portfolio Analytics. It’s ideal for a BI Analyst who thrives on working cross-functionally with sales, product, and operations to derive actionable insights and shape strategy. The work directly supports investment and growth initiatives across customer and broker performance, commercial trends, and credit risk.
Key Responsibilities
– Deliver BI reporting and insight across core lending portfolios.
– Partner with product, sales, and risk teams to explore strategic data questions.
– Analyse broker, customer, and product-level performance to surface trends and opportunities.
– Support forward flow investment projects and new lending initiatives.
– Deliver reports in Tableau or Power BI and drive best practice in data visualisation.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
– Strong SQL skills for deep analytical querying and insight generation.
– Data visualisation experience using Power BI or Tableau.
– Previous experience working in financial services or risk-focused environments.
– Ability to turn data into actionable recommendations.
Desirable:
– Experience in credit risk, lending analytics, or broker performance reporting.
– Familiarity with Return on Equity (ROE) and portfolio strategy metrics.
– Background in challenger banking or fast-paced FS environments.

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end data quality lifecycle, from profiling to documentation
- Write SQL queries to fix issues directly in the data warehouse
