THE ROLE

• Design and maintain workflows for omics data analyses
• Develop and deploy software and tools for data analysis, summary, visualization, interpretation
• Review code and collaborate with engineers on deployment in the cloud
• Continuous interaction with various teams in the company as well as investors

Your Skills & Experience

• Master’s or PhD in a related field
• Strong experience developing workflows and analyzing high-throughput sequence data
• Proficiency with R and/or Python with HPC or cloud computing, shell scripting,
• Ability to produce reproducible code (jupyter notebook), experience in modern software development tools including version control-Git and testing framework

Key Responsibilities:

6. Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in computational biology and AI, evaluating their potential impact on drug discovery and recommending adoption where appropriate.

7. External Engagement: Represent the company externally through participation in scientific conferences, collaborations with academic and industry partners, and publication of research findings in peer-reviewed journals.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, or a related field.
• Proven track record of leadership in computational biology or bioinformatics in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or academic setting.
• Expertise in the development and application of computational algorithms for analyzing biological data, with a strong understanding of machine learning, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in computational biology, such as Python, R, or C/C++.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
