Senior/Lead Data Consultant

Up to £70k base + bonus + benefits

London – Permanent Role – 4x a week in the office

The Role

We are working with a growing data consultancy looking for a Senior/Lead Data Consultant to join its Data Infrastructure practice.

You’ll combine hands-on technical delivery, client engagement and mentoring, working across data engineering, modelling, BI, analytics and integrations. You’ll also have the opportunity to take technical ownership of client engagements and help shape solutions from end to end.

Requirements

• Strong background as a Senior Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer or Data Consultant.
• Strong SQL, data modelling and dbt experience.
• Experience building and supporting production data pipelines and BI solutions.
• Knowledge of Python, APIs, Git and cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
• Comfortable working across different technologies and client environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior client stakeholders.
• 2:1 or above in a STEM-related degree.

• Previous technical or delivery leadership experience.
• Consultancy or strong client-facing experience.
• Experience across modern data stacks such as Fivetran, Databricks, dbt and Looker.
• A track record of mentoring and developing engineers.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Data Consultant will:

• Design and build scalable data pipelines, data platforms, and analytics solutions

This is an excellent opportunity for a reporting professional with credit risk experience to take ownership of key reporting processes while helping to drive the team’s transition towards more modern data and visualisation tools.

THE ROLE

This is a hands-on role sitting within a risk reporting team, where you will lead the delivery of risk reporting and help shape the team’s future direction. • Delivering regular risk reporting and analysis to stakeholders
