ABOUT THE BUSINESS
A leading UK media organisation with a portfolio that spans newspapers, digital platforms, radio, and television. Its brands include some of the most widely read and influential publications in the country. It focuses on entertainment, sport, news, and reader promotions, reaching millions across both print and digital.

THE TEAM
You'll be joining the Analytics team dedicated to a particular newspaper, reporting into the Head of Analytics and working alongside a group of experienced senior analysts. The team partners with a wide range of stakeholders across Marketing, CRM, Promotions, UX, and more.

At this level, you'll be trusted to manage your own projects end-to-end, from scoping requirements to delivering insights, while receiving guidance and support where needed.

THE ROLE
This is a varied analytics position with exposure to multiple parts of the business. You'll work on projects such as analysing promotional campaigns (e.g. holiday offers, codes, ticketing), driving customer registrations, and supporting the rollout of new digital initiatives like premium subscriptions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Running analysis on large, complex datasets (including third-party promotional data)
  • Supporting registration and audience growth initiatives with robust analytics
  • Building dashboards and reports to track KPIs for different business areas
  • Partnering with Marketing, CRM, and Promotions teams to deliver actionable insights
  • Contributing to experimentation and A/B testing projects as this capability expands

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Strong SQL skills (BigQuery experience highly desirable)
  • Experience in analytics, ideally within customer, marketing, or media environments
  • Exposure to data visualisation tools (Tableau preferred, but flexible on others)
  • Proven ability to manage projects independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

WHY APPLY?

  • Play a central role in shaping analytics for one of the UK's most recognised media brands
  • Hybrid working with modern offices in central London
  • Exposure to a wide variety of projects and stakeholders across the business
  • Opportunity to influence major initiatives like user registration, subscriptions, and promotions
