The Role
This role is for a senior engineer who lives and breathes AI and wants to design and build agentic systems on top of LLMs. You will focus on core AI and system design: experimenting, iterating, and pushing from 0 to 1 on new workflows. While there is a path into production, this role leans toward experimentation, R&D, and systems-level thinking rather than pure infra. You will work closely with founders, may interact with clients, and need to communicate clearly in a fast-changing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and refine agentic systems using large language models to automate complex, multi-step workflows.
- Run experiments across prompts, architectures, and tool integrations to improve reliability and performance.

THE ROLE:
- Build and operate production‑ready AI agents on GCP
- Design robust RAG pipelines covering ingestion, text processing, vector search and secure data handling.
- Implement evaluation frameworks, monitoring, A/B testing and performance dashboards for latency, cost and accuracy.
- Partner with product and operations teams to deploy AI capabilities into live environments and continually optimise performance.
- Shape engineering standards, patterns and tooling as part of a new AI function.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong commercial experience in Data Engineering, ML Engineering or Software Engineering with applied AI delivery.
- Deep hands‑on expertise with GCP services
- Strong Python skills
- Practical experience with LLMs, embeddings, RAG architectures and vector databases.
- A track record of building production‑grade AI systems, including observability, evaluation and automated testing.
- DevOps capability across CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes or equivalent tooling.
THE BENEFITS:

Senior Associate AI Engineer

This role offers the chance to join a growing data intelligence organisation and take ownership of production AI systems. You will work with modern LLM technologies, build automated intelligence tools, and contribute to the development of future client facing AI products.
The Company
They are a data insights organisation that builds KPI prediction models for well known consumer brands. Their platform gives investors an early view of company performance ahead of earnings. As AI becomes central to their strategy, they are expanding their engineering team to build scalable agentic and RAG powered systems that support both internal teams and customers.
The Role
* Build end to end RAG pipelines covering ingestion, embeddings, vector search and LLM reasoning.
* Develop agentic workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI or ADK.
* Create LLM powered microservices using Python, FastAPI or Flask.
* Build internal AI tools, assistants and automated workflows.
* Deploy AI systems on AWS including Bedrock, Lambda, ECS or EKS, API Gateway and S3.
* Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure monitoring, observability and reliability across deployed systems.
Your Skills and Experience
* Strong commercial experience with Python and production engineering practices.
* Practical experience building RAG systems and agentic architectures.
* Hands on knowledge of vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate or Qdrant.
* Experience deploying LLM or AI applications on AWS.
* Ability to design, operate and maintain AI systems independently.
* Comfortable working in evolving environments and taking ownership of technical solutions.
