Research Engineer – Barcelona – English Speaking Required

We are working with a very exciting start-up company that just received pre-seed funding and are looking for a Research Engineer to join their research team with some of the top minds in the industry.

You will be responsible for bridging the gap between science and engineering by adding the necessary engineering layer to the work produced by the scientists. This includes supporting the full lifecycle of machine learning models-from design and implementation to evaluation and deployment-ensuring their work successfully reaches production. Are you an experienced designer with a strong background in Canva and a knack for building complex templates? We are seeking a talented Canva Specialist for a short-term contract to assist with a vital project for a small publishing business in transition. They are looking to migrate from Microsoft Publisher to Canva.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Migration from Microsoft Publisher to Canva
  • Build and implement two major Canva templates for a publishing firm currently transitioning from traditional tools
  • Develop highly detailed, multi-page templates (~400 pages each), including sophisticated data and analytics integrations
  • Collaborate with the in-house team, including an editor, data scientist, and chart specialist
  • Provide training for three team members on Canva usage
  • Support ongoing maintenance and support post-project through a retainer

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven Canva expertise, with a strong design background
  • Ability to handle complex, data-driven template builds
  • Experience with Datawrapper, Excel, and familiarity with ChatGPT is a plus
  • Mechanical or technical design background is highly valued
  • Concise, efficient approach – focus on function over aesthetics

THE ROLE

As Analytics Manager, you’ll be the right-hand partner to the Head of Analytics, leading on key projects, shaping data strategy, and scaling capability. You’ll work across the business, from operations to commercial, ensuring data powers smarter, faster decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and delivering end-to-end analytics projects with real business impact

  • Leading and mentoring junior analysts as the team grows

  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to translate data into strategy

  • Owning analytics tools, processes, and best practice

  • Using SQL and Python to extract, transform, and model data

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

As a Senior Revenue Management Analyst, you’ll take ownership of a specific route and be responsible for monitoring, reporting on, and optimising revenue performance. This is a hands-on role combining regular analysis with strategic input and live decision-making.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead revenue management for a key route, making data-led decisions to optimise performance

  • Produce weekly route reports and industry-standard four-weekly reports for senior stakeholders

  • Monitor current sales and take real-time action where performance dips

  • Collaborate across teams to drive commercial strategy and support wider revenue initiatives
