THE ROLE

Your responsibilities will include:

Designing and developing scalable Power Automate workflows to streamline critical business processes.

Building user-friendly applications using Power Apps tailored to business needs.

KEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

A leading financial services organization is looking for an experienced Data Architect to lead their data architecture team and drive a large-scale modernization and Azure migration. This role offers a significant say in how the data platform is designed and developed, making it ideal for someone passionate about data transformation and cloud architecture.
Key Details:
Location: Hybrid – Wolverhampton (3x per week), some travel to Chatham & London
Salary: £120,000 + £7.5k car allowance + up to 40% bonus
Benefits: 30 days holiday, 8% pension contribution, private medical, strong parental leave policies
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Data Architects & Data Modellers (5+ people)
- Oversee large-scale data transformations, migrating legacy systems to Azure
- Ensure robust Azure & SQL Server architecture (not just solutions architecture)
- Work closely with the Head of Engineering to modernize existing systems
- Leverage Snowflake, Kubernetes, Synapse, and Databricks to architect data models
- Shape the data strategy and influence decision-making at a high level
Ideal Candidate:
✅ Extensive experience in Azure-based data architecture (Microsoft Partner-level expertise)
✅ Proven track record in leading data architecture teams
✅ Strong background in data transformations and modernization
