Watford (Hybrid - 3 Days per Week in the Office)

Are you a commercially minded Marketing Analytics leader who enjoys connecting data, insight and strategy to influence business performance? This is an opportunity to take ownership of a broad marketing analytics agenda within a major consumer-facing organisation. Working directly with senior leadership, you'll bring together expertise across marketing, customer insight, digital and commercial analytics to shape business strategy, influence investment decisions and identify new opportunities for growth. With significant investment in data and analytics, this is a highly visible position where you'll have the opportunity to shape the future direction of the function.

The Company

A major international entertainment organisation responsible for one of the UK's most recognisable consumer brands is undergoing an ambitious transformation, with significant investment in its Data, Digital and Customer capabilities. With a growing focus on customer engagement, marketing effectiveness and commercial optimisation, the business is evolving how it uses data and insight to inform strategic decision-making. You'll be joining at an exciting point in that journey, with the opportunity to influence how analytics supports some of its most commercially important functions.

The Role

As Marketing Analytics Lead, you'll operate as a senior strategic partner to the Marketing and Games leadership teams, reporting directly to the Head of Data & Analytics. This is a broad, senior individual contributor position, sitting above the existing management structure and working across multiple analytical squads. Rather than managing a single specialist team, you'll be responsible for connecting different areas of analytics, insight and research, ensuring the business is asking the right questions and that analytical resource is focused on the opportunities with the greatest commercial value. You'll have ownership of the wider marketing analytics agenda, spanning everything from customer and campaign performance through to marketing effectiveness, commercial insight and long-term strategic planning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as the senior analytics partner to Marketing and Games leadership, building relationships and influencing strategic and commercial decisions.
  • Own and shape the marketing analytics agenda, translating business objectives into a prioritised roadmap of analytical initiatives.
  • Connect expertise across marketing analytics, customer insight, digital analytics, commercial analytics, research and marketing effectiveness.
  • Drive a holistic understanding of marketing performance, including acquisition, conversion, customer behaviour, engagement and lifetime value.
  • Lead the marketing effectiveness agenda, bringing together campaign measurement, attribution, experimentation, brand insight and Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM).
  • Challenge existing approaches to marketing measurement and identify opportunities to improve how marketing investment is evaluated.
  • Influence the future operating model for performance marketing, including exploring opportunities to bring capabilities further in-house.
  • Work across Games and Marketing to identify commercial opportunities, understand product and portfolio performance and support strategic investment decisions.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary analytical squads, ensuring teams are aligned around the most important business priorities.
  • Partner with data and product teams to shape future data capabilities and influence the longer-term analytics roadmap.
  • Ensure analytical outputs translate into clear recommendations, commercial decisions and measurable business outcomes.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience within Marketing Analytics, Marketing Effectiveness, Customer Analytics or Commercial Insight.
  • A broad understanding of marketing analytics, with experience working across multiple areas rather than a single specialist discipline.
  • Strong understanding of marketing performance, including acquisition, conversion, campaign measurement and customer engagement.
  • Experience with Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM), attribution, experimentation or other marketing effectiveness methodologies.
  • Previous hands-on experience across marketing analytics and effectiveness, with the ability to challenge methodologies and translate findings into commercial recommendations.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing strategic business decisions.
  • Experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary analytical teams, squads or workstreams.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to connect customer, marketing and commercial insight to wider business strategy.
  • Comfortable operating at a strategic level while retaining sufficient technical and analytical understanding to challenge specialist teams.

The Benefits

  • £85,000-£95,000
  • Bonus
  • Matched pension contributions up to 8.5%.
