This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business at a pivotal stage of its technology and data transformation journey, taking ownership of a greenfield enterprise data strategy and building a modern data capability from the ground up.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a well-established, private equity-backed financial services organisation. The business is currently undergoing a significant technology and digital transformation, with substantial investment being made across platforms, customer experience, data capabilities and AI innovation.

With strong executive sponsorship and board-level commitment to technology, the organisation is seeking to modernise its technology estate and unlock greater value from its data assets.



THE ROLE

You will take ownership of the organisation's data and AI strategy, establishing a modern data platform capable of driving insight, analytics and improved customer outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Reviewing and evolving the existing data and AI strategy.
  • Defining the future-state data architecture, tooling and delivery model.
  • Building a data lakehouse capability and supporting engineering function from scratch.
  • Delivering data platforms that support customer onboarding, conversion and predictive analytics.
  • Assessing, developing and scaling the existing team while creating a high-performing data capability.
  • Driving delivery, stakeholder engagement and executive-level communication.
  • Establishing effective governance, processes and operating models across the data function.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

You will bring strong capability in:
  • Enterprise data strategy and data platform leadership.
  • Data engineering, business intelligence and advanced analytics.
  • Building and scaling modern data functions within complex organisations.
  • Leading technology transformation programmes and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Translating technical capability into measurable business outcomes
  • Experience within regulated environments such as financial services, insurance or lending.

THE BENEFITS

You will receive a salary of up to £180,000 depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
