This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic analyst to join a company who really prioritise the learning and development of their employees. This role would offer the change to gain a real breadth in your work within a top insurance business with a clear progression path.
THE COMPANY
Our client is a leading insurance company in the UK who are continuing to grow their presence. They are seeking a data-driven and motivated candidate to join their team and work across a range of pricing strategy and wider insight for their product portfolio. This role offers excellent development and learning opportunities as well as a clear progression structure.
THE ROLE
You can expect to:
- Analyse large sets of customer data to drive insight and commercial performance
- Implement pricing models across the business, with a specific focus on Machine Learning models
- Improve profitability across the business by using cutting-edge pricing models to innovate and enhance pricing strategies
- Support junior analysts in the team with mentoring and management opportunities if desired
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2-5 years prior experience in pricing analytics in the insurance industry
- Good knowledge and experience using SQL is essential
- Prior experience with ML models, either in development of implementation, is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and experience with stakeholder presentation is key
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Up to £65,000 base salary

PRICING MANAGER
CARDIFF TWICE A MONTH
UP TO £60,000
This is a great opportunity at a very data-driven insurance company, involved in pricing analytics/ modeling!
THE COMPANY:
- Analyzing large sets of data using SQL
- Work on GLM models using Python and/or SAS
- Model customer behaviour and make recommendations for changes in pricing
- Manage a dynamic insurance portfolio, pulling the levers to optimise pricing and business performance
- Liaise with internal teams, senior management, suppliers and other stakeholders
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Educated to a degree level (minimum) in a numerate or analytic discipline
- Experience working with large data sets on a daily basis, using the likes of SAS, SQL, R, Python
- Experience with Radar
- Experience developing statistical models and/or interpreting data and providing commercial insights on the back on analysis
- Experience in an Analytics role in Pricing or Insurance preferred. Financial service experience is also preferred

Harnham are working with a top insurance company to put forward an exciting opportunity, bringing in a new Pricing Manager to work alongside senior stakeholders, focusing on developing innovative strategies.
The Company
The company in particular are a leader within the insurance industry, meaning you’ll be able to benefit from the decades of experience and knowledge from the top down. Whilst the company offer a wider range of products and services, you’ll be working within the travel insurance team, reporting to the Head of Pricing.
The Role
As Pricing Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing a range of different pricing strategies.
You’ll also work on reinventing the company’s pricing structures, adding new data sources, designing and implementing pricing tests, and working alongside the data science team to implement effective models.
Your Skills and Experience
- At least 4 years of experience in Pricing
- Experience developing pricing strategies within insurance
- SQL experience
- Management/ Mentoring experience is desirable
