We are working with a telecoms company looking to add a Senior Data Scientist to their newly formed, cross-functional MarTech team. This team brings knowledge from Marketing, Data Science, Data Engineering and Product Development whilst working closely with the broader data teams to ensure integration and delivery.
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with experience in the digital marketing domain, to drive the development of advanced analytics and modeling solutions to inform and optimise paid media marketing strategies. You will manage a small team of 3 data scientists and report into a lead.
Responsibilities:

Role: Senior Product Analytics Engineer
FULLY REMOTE (1x month in Uxbridge)
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 (dependent on experience)
Insight into the Company:
This organisation is a large telecoms organisation that is looking to change the industry through their flexible approach! As an Analytics Engineer on their team, you will work to build the customer data platform.
The ideal candidate will be a team-player, working in a team of 10, working with and supporting different data workstreams. You will have strong communication skills to work within the team and also with stakeholders. The role will involve improving existing models to ensure they are efficient and scaled.
Role and Responsibilities:
- You will ingest and transform data in snowflake using DBT
- You will support the building of the data warehouse in Snowflake
- You will work to sustain and implement existing ELT pipelines
Skills and Experience:
- Essential to have 4+ years experience in:
- SQL
- Python
- DBT
- Cloud techs such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Databricks
- Desirable to have experience with:
- CI/CD pipelines
- Kafka; real-time streaming
- Snowflake as a data warehouse
- Product Analytics
- Experience working with data product teams
Interview Process:
- There are 4 stages to the process:
- A 30 minute discussion about experience
- An hour take home exercise

THE COMPANY
This is a retail business offering premium, sports, and luxury brands around the world. The business offers flexible and convenient payment methods across many channels, including buy-now-pay-later.
THE ROLE
You can expect to be involved in the following day-to-day:
- Developing and delivering Management Information (MI) and conducting in-depth analysis on credit risk lending strategies, evaluating their performance against established expectations to ensure alignment with business objectives and identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensuring strict adherence to governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, while implementing robust controls to ensure that credit risk lending strategies consistently deliver optimal outcomes for both customers and the business, safeguarding operational integrity.
- Proactively identifying, establishing, and nurturing key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration to gather valuable insights and drive continuous improvement in strategy performance.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience working in financial services.
- Experience in SQL and ideally Python.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ideally have exposure and experience working in credit risk strategy development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
