Senior Analytic Engineer (Healthcare Data)
Remote – U.S. Based | No Sponsorship
A rapidly growing, tech-enabled healthcare organization is building out its next-generation analytics platform-and is hiring a Senior Analytic Engineer to play a foundational role in that evolution.
This organization operates at the intersection of integrated care delivery and modern data infrastructure, providing coordinated medical and behavioral health services to patients in long-term care settings. Backed by significant investment and scaling through acquisition, the company is making a major push into data, AI, and advanced analytics to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
If you’re someone who wants to own core data models, shape how the business understands its data, and enable AI-driven analytics, this is a high-impact opportunity.
The Role
You’ll sit at the center of the data ecosystem-owning the semantic layer and core data models that power BI, self-service analytics, and emerging AI/LLM-driven tools.
This is not a dash-boarding role. It’s a highly technical, business-facing position focused on transforming raw healthcare data into clean, scalable, and trusted data models that drive decision-making.
You’ll bridge:
- Data engineering
- Business context
- Analytic consumption (BI + AI tools)
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data models using dbt and SQL
- Own and define the semantic / metrics layer across the organization
- Translate complex business questions into structured, reusable data definitions
- Enable self-service analytics and natural language querying via AI tools
- Standardize and govern key metrics across clinical, operational, and financial domains
- Partner closely with stakeholders, BI teams, and data engineers to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and actionable
- Structure data to support modern analytics tools (e.g., semantic layer platforms, AI-driven BI)
What You Bring
- 6-8+ years of experience across analytics engineering, BI, or data engineering
- Deep experience working with healthcare data systems, including:
- EHR / EMR platforms
- Medical claims data
- Interoperability standards like HL7 and FHIR
- Strong understanding of:
- Clinical vs. transactional healthcare data
- Claims and payer workflows
- HIPAA-compliant data handling and governance
- Advanced SQL skills
- Hands-on experience with dbt (macros, snapshots, exposures, metrics layer)
- Proven expertise in:
- Data modeling
- Semantic layer design
- Embedding business logic into analytics systems
Nice to Have
- Experience with modern data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks
- Familiarity with semantic layer tools (LookML, AtScale, Cube, etc.)
- Exposure to AI-enabled BI tools (ThoughtSpot, Sigma, etc.)
- Experience with data observability or orchestration tools

This growing start-up has created a ML observability platform that detects AI/ML model issues. They are seeking an experience Senior Solutions Architect to help promote the platform to their clients while also bridging relationships with technical stakeholders.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years in Solutions Architecture

- Claims data, EHR/EMR systems

Benefits:
As a Solutions Architect, you can expect a base salary between $175,000-$200,000+ (based on experience) plus competitive benefits, bonuses, and stock options.
