Senior Route Revenue Manager
Location: Hybrid – Euston, London (3 days a week in the office)
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 + Benefits (TBC)

About the Company:
A leading UK transport provider operating across the West and North West, covering areas such as the West Midlands, North West, North Wales, and Scotland. With a newly secured 9-year contract extension, the company is positioned for significant growth, investment, and long-term stability, offering exciting opportunities for the future.

Role Overview:
As Senior Route Revenue Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing one of the company’s most important and high-revenue-generating routes. You’ll lead a small team and work on optimizing pricing strategies, revenue generation, and ensuring targets are met. Your work will span across train services and other aspects of the travel experience, including retail spaces at stations and additional add-ons to the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of a high-revenue route, ensuring effective pricing strategies and revenue growth.
  • Lead and manage a team of Senior Revenue Analysts and Revenue Analysts to achieve team objectives.
  • Adjust rail prices on a daily basis and manage revenue delivery to meet targets.
  • Lead weekly trading calls, collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with senior management to support strategic decisions and business performance.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in revenue management, preferably within the transport or travel sectors.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and C-suite executives.
  • A strong self-starter with a driven attitude and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in managing teams and delivering successful revenue outcomes.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £55,000 – £60,000.

THE ROLE

  • Develop and validate retail and technical pricing models using machine learning methods
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies for customer renewals with a focus on profitability and customer retention
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of the customer book, looking at areas including churn risk, loss ratios, retention rates
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and gaps for new product development

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior experience with technical pricing modelling or wider pricing strategy experience
  • Experience using Earnix, Emblem or Radar
  • Good knowledge of programming software such as SAS, SQL, Python or R would also be desirable
