About the Opportunity

We are assisting an innovative software company that builds cloud-based SaaS platforms to help healthcare organizations eliminate fraud, waste, and abuse. Rather than standard reporting, our client delivers a robust product ecosystem that transforms massive transactional datasets into scalable platform capabilities.

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will think like a product builder, designing and developing core data architectures that integrate directly into the customer-facing platform rather than building dashboards or answering one-off requests.

Note: Sponsorship is not available for this position

Compensation: $160,000 - $190,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Product-Minded Engineering: Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end scalable analytics products that integrate directly into a customer-facing platform.
  • Advanced Data Transformation: Author and optimize complex SQL development, manage data transformations, and work deeply within relational database environments.
  • Own the Lifecycle: Navigate incomplete requirements and ambiguity to take products from initial concept through design, build, and deployment.
  • Strategic Architecture: Defend design decisions, explain technical trade-offs, and deeply understand the underlying healthcare business problems before proposing a solution.

Required Qualifications

  • Healthcare Industry Expertise (Highly Preferred): Strong experience working with transactional healthcare data, claims data, or healthcare services data.
  • Mastery of SQL: This is the most critical technical skill for the role. You must have advanced expertise with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Vertica, etc.).
  • Software Development Mindset: Proven experience working within a modern software development lifecycle, including Git/version control, command line/Linux environments, and shell scripting.
  • The "Senior" Factor: A proactive, self-directed mindset with the ability to take extreme ownership of projects, research issues independently, and guide stakeholders through ambiguity.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Python for data manipulation or automation.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and user-facing analytics tools like Looker or Tableau.
  • Exposure to modern data stack tools and practices (analytics engineering frameworks).

Note: Candidates whose experience is strictly limited to traditional BI reporting environments without exposure to broader software development practices will not be a fit for this role.
