THE ROLE
As a Senior Data Analyst within the Member Experience team, you’ll play a key role in driving product and customer strategy – helping to reduce churn, boost renewals, and improve lifetime value. Working across product, data, and design, you’ll turn behavioural data into clear, actionable insights that shape how members experience and engage with the platform.
You’ll also play a hands-on role in experimentation and data enablement, ensuring data becomes a core part of every decision across the business.
In this role, you will:
- Lead analysis focused on churn, retention, and lifetime value within a membership-based product.
- Translate complex product and customer data into clear stories and recommendations for product, UX, and leadership teams.
- Design and interpret experiments (A/B tests) to validate hypotheses and drive product improvements.
- Build dashboards and reporting tools to track member performance and key engagement metrics.
- Partner closely with data engineering, analytics, and product teams to enhance data capabilities and insight delivery.
- Support the business in becoming more data-led through enablement and storytelling.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in product and customer analytics, ideally within a subscription, marketplace, or consumer tech environment.
- Advanced SQL skills, with experience working hands-on in analytical databases.
- Strong understanding of churn, LTV, retention, and experimentation.
- Experience with a data visualisation or BI tool (they use Mode, but open to others).
- Familiarity with tools such as Amplitude, Python, R, or dbt a plus but not essential.
- Confident communicator able to translate data into stories and influence stakeholders.
- A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment.

The Opportunity
You’ll lead a team of AI and Data Science professionals developing cutting-edge GenAI applications across a portfolio of digital learning platforms. Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, you’ll combine strategic leadership with technical depth-guiding initiatives from prototype to production while ensuring ethical, scalable, and measurable outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and scale a world-class AI and Data Science team.
- Define the vision and roadmap for Generative AI initiatives across products.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to deliver end-to-end AI solutions.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business insights.
- Champion responsible and secure AI development aligned with educational integrity.
What You Bring
- PhD (or equivalent experience) in AI, Data Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience delivering ML or GenAI systems in production.
- Proven success leading high-performing technical teams.
- Strength in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder influence.
- Exceptional communication skills-able to balance vision with execution.
Bonus Points
- Experience in education, learning science, or other mission-driven industries.
- Background in LLMOps, agent orchestration, or AI ethics/governance.
