The Company

A leading global fintech is looking for an Operations Analytics Lead to join a high-performing Data & Insights function. This is a fast-moving, technology-led financial services business with a strong focus on data, digital products and improving customer experiences. The Operations function spans areas including Customer Experience, KYC and Client Onboarding, Payments, Transaction Reporting and AI Operations; Analytics sits at the heart of how the business measures performance, identifies opportunities and makes strategic decisions.

The Role

This is a senior, hands-on analytics leadership position combining people management, strategic thinking and technical delivery. You'll lead a team of around 4-5 analysts, while remaining approximately 60% hands-on yourself. The team has an existing roadmap, but this role will bring greater structure and prioritisation, helping move the function away from reactive requests towards a more strategic, commercially focused approach. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, challenging priorities, defining the right questions and using data to influence decisions. A major part of the role will be around AI and automation. You'll help measure the impact of AI-enabled operational tools, support the development of internal copilots and ensure that AI initiatives are backed by robust analytical frameworks. You'll also work across areas such as workforce analysis, customer-service operations, KYC and operational efficiency.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing an analytics team
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Strong statistical understanding, including A/B testing, experimentation and statistical significance.
  • Experience developing analytical frameworks and using data to influence business strategy.
  • Comfortable being hands-on while also setting direction and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Practical experience using AI tools such as Copilot or Claude to improve processes or analytical workflows.
  • Experience within financial services, fintech or another regulated environment is highly desirable.
  • Python experience is preferred.
  • Experience with dbt, Airflow and Git would be advantageous.
  • Experience with Looker, Tableau or another enterprise BI platform.
  • Background in operational analytics, workforce management, customer service, KYC or similar environments would be beneficial.
  • The ability to turn a reactive analytics function into a more structured, prioritised roadmap.

The Benefits

  • £90,000-£100,000
  • 15-25% bonus
