The Role

As a Data Analyst, you will sit within the finance function, reporting directly to senior leadership and playing a key role in reporting, forecasting, and data reconciliation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning and developing finance and operational reporting
  • Supporting forecasting, planning, and cashflow modelling activities
  • Maintaining and enhancing complex Excel-based financial models
  • Reconciling data across multiple systems, including Xero, SQL, and Power BI
  • Uploading, validating, and managing finance and operational datasets
  • Producing reporting for senior leadership on financial performance, operational activity, and key business metrics
  • Analysing large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement
  • Investigating and resolving data discrepancies across systems
  • Building new reports and improving existing reporting processes
  • Working closely with finance, operational, and technology teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial experience in a Data Analyst, Finance Analyst, Management Accountant, or similar role
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and complex data analysis
  • Practical experience using SQL to query and validate data
  • Experience building, maintaining, or enhancing Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and reconciliations
  • Ability to identify data quality issues and implement solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on environment where attention to detail is essential
