The Role

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will own the “middle layer” of the data stack. Your mission is to translate complex healthcare business logic into scalable, governed dbt models that power the future of the Client’s analytics strategy.

  • Architect the Semantic Layer: Define metrics, naming conventions, and data structures that enable natural language querying (NLQ) and self-service BI.
  • Engineering Excellence: Build and maintain high-performance dbt models utilizing advanced macros, snapshots, and exposures.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Data Engineers to refine ingestion and BI Developers to ensure seamless consumption.

Who You Are

  • The Healthcare Veteran: You have spent at least 2+ years navigating the complexities of healthcare data, including Medical Claims, EHR/EMR systems (HL7/FHIR), and the nuances of clinical vs. transactional data.
  • The dbt Power User: You don’t just use dbt; you master it. You are comfortable with complex metric layers and maintaining clean, modular code.

Experience & Requirements

  • 6-8 years of total experience in Data/Analytics Engineering.
  • 3+ years of dedicated experience with dbt (Required).
  • Must have deep experience in the Healthcare industry (Claims/Clinical data).
  • Advanced SQL skills and a strong understanding of dimensional modelling.
  • Familiarity with modern warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, or Fabric) and semantic tools (Cube, AtScale, or LookML) is a major plus.
