This is an opportunity to join a growing in-house cyber security function that is continuing to expand its penetration testing capability across multiple business units. You'll take ownership of end-to-end testing engagements, working independently while helping shape the future direction of a mature and evolving security programme.

The Role and Deliverables
- Lead and deliver end-to-end infrastructure and network penetration testing engagements.

Joining the Decision Intelligence team, you’ll use data to investigate fraud trends, analyse transaction behaviour and support the optimisation of fraud controls and decisioning strategies.
You’ll be expected to work independently, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and helping shape how fraud is detected and prevented across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analysing fraud and transaction data using SQL
- Identifying emerging fraud trends and risks
- Supporting fraud decisioning and rule optimisation activities
- Investigating control performance and recommending improvements
- Using BI tools to interrogate and visualise data
- Working with stakeholders to translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Supporting a more proactive fraud prevention strategy
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for candidates with:
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
- Experience using BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI or similar
- Previous experience within fraud analytics, fraud strategy, fraud prevention or fraud risk
- Payments, cards or wider FinTech experience
- Experience identifying trends and producing actionable insights
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
- Experience with fraud decisioning platforms
- Exposure to fraud rule design, implementation or optimisation
- Python for automation and analysis
- Experience balancing fraud prevention against customer experience and approval rates

THE COMPANY
This dynamic and fast-paced lender is seeking a driven and experienced individual to join their team to own their modelling function, across credit risk, collections, fraud and more. You’d work as an Individual Contributor to lead the Data Science function to make an impact on business performance.
THE ROLE
- Develop a range of credit models within the business, predominantly scorecards and broader decisioning models
- Using innovative machine learning techniques to further enhance the model suite and drive profitability across the business
- Own implementation and impact of predictive models across the product suite
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Essential to have experience developing predictive models
- SQL and Python experience is essential
- Highly desirable to have had experience in Consumer Lending and a strong understanding of the credit lifecycle
- Experience in a fast-paced environment and ability to work across multiple projects, in a FinTech is a plus
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Base salary from £120-140,000 depending on experience
