About the job

We're partnered with a fast-growing, well-funded technology company transforming the way homes are designed, manufactured, and delivered. As the business scales across manufacturing, operations, and real estate development, they're looking for a Data Engineer to help build the data infrastructure that powers critical business decisions.

This is an opportunity to join a growing data function as an early team member, owning data pipelines, improving data reliability, and creating visibility across operational systems. You'll work closely with Engineering, Operations, and business stakeholders to ensure teams have accurate, actionable data to support growth.

The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a startup environment, enjoys solving varied data challenges, and can balance strong technical execution with effective cross-functional communication.

What you'll do

  • Own and maintain existing data pipelines, ensuring reliability and data quality.
  • Build new ETL pipelines to support evolving business and operational needs.
  • Improve visibility into manufacturing, inventory, and operational performance through scalable data solutions.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Product, and Business teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
  • Ensure source systems are accurate and trusted as the company scales.
  • Work with transactional databases, operational systems, and external datasets to create valuable insights.
  • Help establish best practices around data pipelines, documentation, and analytics infrastructure.
  • Ingest and manage publicly available datasets to support business initiatives.

What we're looking for

  • 2-4 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience building and optimizing data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience owning ETL workflows and data integrations.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with broad ownership and changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
  • A generalist mindset with the ability to solve a variety of data challenges.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Python, dbt, Databricks, Spark, or TypeScript.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite.
  • Background working with operational, manufacturing, supply chain, or transactional data.
  • Experience at an early-stage or high-growth company.
