Senior Merchandising Operations Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global retail brand in a newly created role with significant visibility and influence. You will shape the digital voice behind some of their most iconic product categories and directly impact commercial performance, customer experience, and strategic decision‑making across the buy cycle.
The Company

With digital performance rising rapidly in strategic importance, they are investing heavily in analytical capabilities and cross‑functional collaboration. This role sits within their digital visual merchandising function and will play a critical part in connecting data, customer insight, and commercial strategy.
The Role
You will act as the digital counterpart to Buying, Planning, Inventory, Site Operations, Connected Retail, and Business Planning teams, bringing clear, insight‑led recommendations that shape both pre‑season planning and in‑season trading decisions. Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as the digital voice across the buy cycle, using customer behaviour, onsite performance, conversion metrics, and availability insights to influence decision‑making.
* Consolidating data across navigation, search, product views, sell‑through and availability to guide assortment and depth decisions.
* Identifying risks and opportunities across categories and shaping corrective actions to optimise availability, reduce cancellations, and improve NPS.
* Leading conversations in senior cross‑functional forums and driving alignment across multiple teams.
* Creating and delivering divisional reviews, hindsight packs, and digital trading summaries.
* Championing consistent processes and operational improvements across merchandising operations.
Your Skills and Experience
* Strong commercial experience in digital merchandising, retail trading, planning, allocation, or a related discipline.
* Hands‑on ecommerce expertise with an understanding of digital KPIs such as conversion, product views, add‑to‑cart behaviour, and onsite navigation.
* Ability to translate data and analytics into clear, actionable recommendations.
* Confident senior stakeholder management and experience influencing cross‑functional partners.
* High level of proficiency with Excel and reporting tools, with the ability to consolidate complex insight.
* A proactive communicator with a collaborative, solutions‑focused approach.
