Leeds – Hybrid (2 days per week)
I’m hiring a Marketing & Customer Analyst to join a specialist analytics and consulting business that helps major consumer brands make smarter decisions through customer, CRM, marketing, and data insight.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with 1-4 years’ analytics experience who wants to move beyond reporting and develop into a more consultative role, working across customer analytics, segmentation, loyalty, CRM strategy, marketing effectiveness, and commercial insight.
The company
You’ll be joining a specialist analytics consultancy that supports a range of leading consumer, telecoms, retail, and subscription brands on customer insight and marketing transformation projects.
The team is small, collaborative, and highly commercial. Rather than being siloed into one area, you’ll gain exposure to a broad mix of projects spanning customer analytics, CRM, marketing performance, loyalty, and strategic consulting.
The role
This sits somewhere between a Customer Analyst, Marketing Analyst, and Junior Consultant.
You’ll work with large customer datasets to understand behaviour, identify opportunities, and help clients improve retention, customer value, loyalty performance, and marketing effectiveness.
The role is about much more than building reports. They want someone who can take data, find the story, and explain what the business should do next.
What you’ll be doing

- Build and develop Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Use Python and Excel to manipulate and interrogate data.
- Support customer segmentation, loyalty, retention, and customer value projects.

Example projects
- Identifying customers at risk of leaving and recommending retention strategies.
- CRM data audits and segmentation reviews.
- Customer loyalty and behaviour analysis.
- Marketing effectiveness measurement.

Essential
- 1-4 years’ analytics experience.
- Strong Python skills.
- Experience building dashboards (Power BI preferred).
- Strong Excel skills.
- STEM degree or strong quantitative academic background.
- Ability to present findings clearly and confidently.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.
Highly desirable
- Marketing agency or consultancy experience.
- CRM, customer, or marketing analytics experience.
- Customer segmentation or loyalty analysis.
- Media or marketing performance analytics.
What matters most
Communication & Storytelling
Technical skills are important, but the biggest focus is on someone who can:
- Explain analytical thinking clearly.
- Present confidently to stakeholders.
- Build a narrative from data.
- Translate technical outputs into commercial recommendations.
Commercial Thinking
They want analysts who understand the wider business problem and can recommend actions, not just produce outputs.
Independence
This is a small team with lots of client exposure, so they’re looking for someone who can take ownership of work and operate proactively.
Why join?
- Exposure to major household-name brands.
- Variety across CRM, customer analytics, loyalty, and marketing projects.
- Opportunity to move into consulting.
- High visibility in a small team.
- Direct access to experienced strategists and senior leaders.
- Broad project work rather than being pigeonholed into one specialist area.
- Flexible hybrid working.
Working pattern
Leeds
- 2 days per week in the office.
- Leeds-based employees travel to London approximately once per month (fully expensed).
Interview process
Stage 1: 30-minute introductory conversation

This is an opportunity to join a specialist eCommerce consultancy and digital product agency working with ambitious global brands to create better digital experiences and drive commercial growth! The business sits at the intersection of eCommerce, product, strategy, design, technology and AI, helping brands rethink how they build and operate their digital experiences; rather than relying on traditional all-in-one platforms, they help clients explore more flexible, modular approaches, including headless CMS, composable commerce and modular checkout solutions, giving brands greater flexibility, performance and control. The business is part of a much larger global digital experience group, combining the pace and autonomy of a specialist consultancy with the scale and capabilities of a global organisation.
The Role

- Explore how AI can improve products, experiences, processes and commercial outcomes.
- Understand customer behaviour, data and market trends to inform strategic recommendations.
- Work across multiple clients and projects in a fast-paced, autonomous agency environment.
You’ll be expected to operate at different levels – from defining the long-term strategic vision through to helping teams translate that vision into something tangible.
The Questions You’ll Be Solving
You could be working with clients to answer questions such as:
- How can we grow eCommerce revenue?
- What’s missing from the current digital experience?
- What new products or features could create additional value?
- How can AI be embedded into an existing product or customer journey?
- Where are the biggest opportunities for commercial growth?
- How do we turn an identified opportunity into something that can actually be built and launched?
Your Skills & Experience
I am looking for someone operating at the intersection of product, strategy, eCommerce and clients.
You’ll ideally have:
- A strong background working within an agency or consultancy environment.
- Significant experience working with eCommerce clients.
- Experience in product strategy, digital strategy, product management or a closely related discipline.
- A proven track record of working directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial understanding, with evidence of driving revenue or commercial impact.
- Experience taking products, propositions or strategic ideas from concept through to execution.
- Strong knowledge of the eCommerce landscape, including platforms such as Shopify.
- Understanding of UX, CRO, APIs, SEO, integrations and digital product development.
- The ability to work comfortably with designers, engineers and other technical specialists.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using AI to improve products, processes or ways of working.
- Excellent presentation, communication and influencing skills.
- The ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving environment.
The key is someone who can hold the room with senior clients, understand the commercial problem they’re trying to solve and then work with technical and creative teams to turn that thinking into something deliverable!
The Benefits
- £70,000-£80,000
