They're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help shape and scale their modern data architecture, enabling smarter insights, better audience engagement, and enhanced operational capabilities across nine international markets.

Role Summary:

This is a senior-level opportunity for a data engineer who thrives in complex environments and enjoys architecting high-impact, cloud-native data solutions. You'll play a key role in the implementation of a modern, layered data architecture, supporting the shift from legacy platforms and building the foundation for cross-market analytics and insight generation.

You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and lead the technical delivery of scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong Python and SQL skills, cloud experience, and a drive to make data a true business enabler.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Modern Architecture Implementation:

    • Lead the migration of pipelines from legacy systems to a new multi-layered data architecture

    • Design and optimise ETL/ELT workflows using Airflow and Terraform

    • Develop containerised workloads using Kubernetes and productionise dbt models

    • Implement a platform supporting Raw, Processed, Curated, and Consumption data layers

  • Technical Leadership:

    • Provide technical guidance and mentor team members

    • Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices

    • Champion reusable and scalable solutions across projects

  • Hands-On Engineering:

    • Write performant SQL (Postgres, Cloud SQL) and Python for pipeline development

    • Build and maintain infrastructure for cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift)

    • Ensure pipeline observability with testing frameworks and monitoring tools

    • Develop reusable Airflow operators to streamline orchestration

  • Project Delivery:

    • Lead on high-priority initiatives including international data expansion

    • Support integrations with platforms like Braze and internal analytics tools

    • Collaborate with stakeholders across markets to deliver meaningful solutions

    • Design and implement robust monitoring and alerting systems
