Senior Manager, Data & Analytics – DTC
Location: US Remote Eligible (travel required)
Salary:$180-220K base + bonus + equity
The Opportunity
A high-growth, vertically integrated DTC brand is hiring its first Senior Manager of Data & Analytics to architect and lead the company’s data strategy from the ground up. Following a period of explosive, triple-digit revenue growth and with full control over manufacturing, fulfillment, and customer experience, the company is now ready to make data a foundational pillar of scale.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll step into a pivotal, hands-on leadership role-owning everything from data architecture and infrastructure to analytics strategy, roadmap execution, and team development. You’ll build the systems and insights that power smarter decisions across marketing, supply chain, logistics, and digital experience.
This is a rare opportunity to take a blank slate and build a high-impact data function with executive backing, tangible influence, and end-to-end ownership.
What You’ll Do
- Own and execute the data vision: Evaluate the current state, define the roadmap, and implement scalable data infrastructure (Postgres, dbt, Fivetran, Omni).
- Lead from the front: Operate as a player-coach-balancing individual technical contribution with people leadership and cross-functional influence.
- Build and scale a high-impact team: Recruit and mentor data engineers, analysts, and data scientists as the function grows from 1-2 to 6-8 over time.
- Drive actionable insights: Deliver dashboards, models, and analytics that unlock better outcomes across the customer lifecycle, supply chain, and financial ops.
- Set the bar for excellence: Establish best practices in KPI design, instrumentation, experimentation, data governance, and measurement strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with senior leaders across Product, Marketing, Ops, and Engineering to ensure data becomes a competitive edge.
Use Cases You’ll Own
- Multi-touch attribution, CAC optimization, and customer segmentation
- LTV and churn modeling for better retention and personalization
- Demand forecasting to optimize production and reduce inventory risk
- Factory analytics to track throughput, cycle times, and downtime
- Logistics and fulfillment insights to improve delivery efficiency
- Customer journey analysis to enhance conversion and engagement
- Product feedback loops using return rates, support tickets, and reviews
What We’re Looking For
- 7-10+ years of experience in data, analytics, or BI roles, with a track record of leadership-preferably in high-growth DTC, ecommerce, or consumer product environments.
- Proven success building a data function from the ground up-including architecture, tooling, team structure, and process implementation.
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL and Python, with a hands-on ability to build pipelines, deliver insights, and support scalable analytics solutions.
- Fluency with the modern data stack, including platforms such as dbt, Fivetran, Omni, or comparable tools.
- Thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous settings, with a bias for action and comfort making decisions without perfect information.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship experience, including hiring, coaching, and managing performance for technical talent.
- Willingness to travel regularly to the company’s HQ during onboarding (first 4-6 months) and periodically thereafter as needed.
Why This Role
- Greenfield Ownership: Build the function the right way-from tools and models to team and roadmap.
- Executive Visibility: Direct line to the CEO and meaningful influence on company direction.
- High-Growth Environment: Be part of a company scaling fast with clear demand for data maturity.
- Purpose-Driven Culture: Join a team passionate about product, performance, and customer happiness.
