Overview

A growing consumer technology organisation is seeking a Data Analyst II to support product analytics, experimentation, and decision-making across a digital platform. This role will partner closely with product, engineering, and growth teams to analyse user behaviour, evaluate feature performance, and deliver actionable insights using event-level data.
The ideal candidate has experience working with consumer-facing mobile applications, product analytics tools, and A/B testing frameworks. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys translating complex data into clear business recommendations and helping teams make evidence-based decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and analyse product experiments and A/B tests to inform roadmap and optimisation decisions.
  • Develop and maintain product performance reporting using event-level user interaction data.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define success metrics, measurement strategies, and KPIs.
  • Investigate user behaviour patterns and identify opportunities to improve engagement, retention, and conversion.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and self-service reporting solutions for business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with data teams to improve data quality, metric definitions, and analytical models.
  • Communicate insights effectively through presentations, reports, and data storytelling.
  • Promote a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • Approximately 2 to 4 years of experience in data analytics, product analytics, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience working within a direct-to-consumer digital product or mobile application environment.
  • Understanding of mobile and subscription business metrics, including retention, customer lifetime value, cohort analysis, and engagement measurement.
  • Hands-on experience with product analytics or event-tracking platforms such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, or comparable tools.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience querying large-scale datasets.
  • Experience using business intelligence and reporting platforms such as Looker, Tableau, Omni, or similar tools.
  • Experience designing, monitoring, and evaluating A/B tests.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment with ambiguous requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with modern cloud-based data platforms and analytics ecosystems.
  • Exposure to tools and technologies such as:
    • BigQuery
    • dbt
    • Python
    • Mobile attribution platforms
    • Firebase or similar analytics frameworks
    • Cloud storage solutions
    • Agile project management tools
