Jamie Smith is an Associate Director at Harnham, leading the North, Business Intelligence (BI), and Marketing & Insights teams. With over nine years of experience in Data & Analytics recruitment, he partners with organisations ranging from high-growth businesses to established enterprises, helping them secure the specialist talent needed to drive data-led decision making.
Jamie oversees recruitment across Customer Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Product Analytics, Data Product Management, BI Analytics, BI Development, Analytics Engineering, and Data Governance. His teams deliver permanent recruitment solutions, talent advisory services, and executive search assignments for senior leadership and director-level hires.
Having joined Harnham as a graduate, Jamie progressed into management in 2019 and established the firm’s Northern division, focused on supporting the rapidly growing Data & Analytics markets across the North of England and Scotland. He has since expanded his remit to lead two of Harnham’s longest-standing and most successful specialist functions.
Working closely with both clients and candidates, Jamie takes a consultative approach to recruitment, providing market insight, hiring strategy, and end-to-end recruitment support. Through Harnham’s deep specialisation in Data & Analytics, his teams act as an extension of their clients’ businesses, offering the technical expertise required to effectively assess and engage highly skilled professionals.

Outside of work, Jamie is a lifelong Everton supporter, despite the years of ups and downs, and remains convinced that success is just around the corner.
