HEAD OF PERFORMANCE MARKETING

£90,000-£100,000 + 20% BONUS

SURREY OR LONDON (HYBRID - 1 DAY PER WEEK)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a premium, science-led health and wellness business as its Head of Performance Marketing. With the majority of its revenue generated through DTC and an established subscription model, the business is now investing in the next phase of its growth and strengthening its senior performance marketing capability.

THE COMPANY

The successful Head of Performance Marketing will join an established consumer health and wellness business with a differentiated product, strong brand recognition and an expanding customer base. Having recently entered a new phase of investment and growth, the business is focused on scaling its DTC proposition while continuing to improve the experience it provides throughout the customer journey.

Performance Marketing sits within a broader Growth function encompassing CRM, Influencer Marketing, Affiliates, Product and Amazon. The company already invests across Meta, Google, TikTok and Pinterest, supported by a combination of internal specialists and external agencies.

The business now requires an experienced performance marketing leader who can establish a clear strategy, connect activity across the wider customer journey and ensure marketing investment delivers sustainable commercial growth.

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Director of Growth, you will lead an existing Performance Marketing team consisting of a Performance Marketing Manager and Senior Performance Marketing Executive.

You will take ownership of the overall performance strategy, assessing the existing channel mix, agency relationships and internal capabilities. You will advise senior leadership on where the business should invest, how performance should be measured and how the function should develop over time.

This is broader than a channel optimisation role. The successful candidate will understand how paid media connects with creative, conversion, CRM, retention and customer lifetime value.

More specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Developing and delivering the overall performance marketing strategy
  • Leading and developing an existing team of two
  • Managing activity across Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest and emerging channels
  • Assessing the current agency model and determining which capabilities should be developed internally
  • Owning performance marketing budgets, forecasting and commercial targets
  • Improving customer acquisition efficiency across the complete journey
  • Establishing robust measurement frameworks across CAC, LTV, payback and incrementality
  • Moving performance assessment beyond platform-reported ROAS
  • Working closely with CRM, Creative, Brand, Product and Ecommerce teams
  • Developing a structured creative testing and optimisation strategy
  • Advising the Director of Growth and senior leadership on investment priorities
  • Identifying future capability and hiring requirements
  • Supporting potential expansion into European markets over time

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Head of Performance Marketing will have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong performance marketing experience within a DTC or subscription-led business
  • Previous experience leading a team or function
  • Deep knowledge of paid social and paid search, particularly Meta and Google
  • A strong commercial understanding of CAC, LTV, payback, retention and subscription economics
  • Experience managing significant performance marketing budgets
  • The ability to assess performance beyond individual platform metrics
  • Experience connecting paid acquisition with the wider customer journey
  • Strong agency management skills and experience assessing in-house versus outsourced capabilities
  • Experience working closely with Creative teams to improve paid social performance
  • Excellent analytical, strategic and stakeholder management skills
  • The confidence to advise and challenge senior leadership
  • Experience within health and wellness, food and drink or premium consumer products would be advantageous but is not essential

The business is open to either an established Head of Performance Marketing or an experienced Senior Performance Marketing Manager who is ready to step into their first Head of role.

THE BENEFITS

The successful Head of Performance Marketing will receive a salary of £90,000-£100,000, alongside a 20% annual bonus based equally on company and individual performance.

This is an outstanding opportunity to take ownership of performance marketing within an ambitious consumer business, lead an established team and play a central role in defining its future growth strategy.
