Your Skills & Experience
- Strong product management experience within banking, lending, fintech, payments, or financial services
- Direct experience with collections, recoveries, credit servicing, or lending products
- Proven success delivering transformation initiatives within collections or customer repayment environments
- Experience building and scaling data-led products and operational tooling
- Ability to translate complex business challenges into impactful product solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Working knowledge of SQL and product analytics
- Experience with payments platforms, mobile money, or credit products would be advantageous
- Exposure to responsible lending, financial inclusion, or customer protection initiatives is beneficial

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Analytics Engineer will:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance cloud-based data platforms and analytics solutions
- Design and build scalable ETL and ELT pipelines to support reporting and data products
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Develop and optimise data warehouses, data marts, and reporting environments
- Ensure high standards of data quality, performance, reliability, and governance
- Automate data processes and deployments using modern engineering practices
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data infrastructure
- Contribute to data architecture decisions and support the modernisation of legacy systems
- Create clear technical documentation and maintain best practices across data engineering workflows

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Strong commercial experience with Azure-based data technologies such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, or related platforms
- Expertise in designing and maintaining modern data warehouse architectures
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with CI/CD processes and Azure DevOps
- Strong Python scripting capabilities for automation, orchestration, and pipeline optimisation
- Experience working with ETL and ELT frameworks and data management best practices
- Knowledge of data security, governance, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI or similar platforms
- Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative development practices
- The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

This is an opportunity to join a leading UK media organisation on an initial 3-6 month contract, taking ownership of Payroll & Benefits across multiple UK entities.
Working closely with HR, Finance and senior stakeholders, you’ll act as the senior payroll SME, ensuring compliant, accurate and efficient payroll delivery while overseeing benefits, provider management and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Role
- Own the end-to-end Payroll & Benefits function
- Lead payroll governance, compliance and controls
- Review and approve payroll submissions and reconciliations
- Manage complex payroll, pensions and benefits issues
- Oversee payroll and benefits providers
- Support audits, year-end processes and statutory reporting
- Drive payroll transformation, automation and process improvement
- Partner with HR, Finance and senior leadership teams
Skills & Experience
- Extensive UK payroll experience with strong HMRC, PAYE and RTI knowledge
- Experience leading payroll operations within a complex organisation
- Strong payroll governance, compliance and audit experience
- Benefits, pensions and salary sacrifice scheme knowledge
- Experience managing outsourced payroll and benefits providers
- Previous payroll transformation, implementation or migration experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Multi-entity payroll experience preferred
- CIPP qualification desirable
