This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join a growing, data-driven organisation at a key stage of its development. You'll play a central role in modernising data platforms, improving data accessibility, and supporting international growth initiatives while working with a modern Microsoft technology stack.

The business operates a cloud-first data environment and is committed to building scalable, reliable, and innovative data solutions. This role sits within a collaborative data function, working closely with engineering, analytics, and data acquisition teams.

The Role

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will take ownership of a key area of the data platform and play an important role in enhancing data quality, performance, and scalability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and optimising ELT pipelines across cloud-based data platforms.
  • Developing and maintaining data solutions using Azure, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, and SQL.
  • Supporting data migration and platform modernisation initiatives.
  • Improving data processing efficiency and reducing data latency across multiple regions.
  • Working with both modern and legacy data models to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining Power BI reporting and analytics capabilities.
  • Implementing best practices around data quality, documentation, governance, and maintainability.
  • Collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust data solutions.
  • Contributing to architectural decisions and continuous improvement across the data platform.

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this Senior Analytics Engineer role, you should have:

  • Strong commercial expertise in SQL, which is a core requirement for the position.
  • Experience working with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Microsoft Fabric, and Azure cloud technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of ELT pipeline development, optimisation, and data integration.
  • Experience supporting data migration projects and modernising existing data environments.
  • Expertise in Power BI and data visualisation.
  • Experience working with legacy data models while delivering improvements and modernisation.
  • Knowledge of Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
  • The ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.

Desirable experience includes:

  • Python for automation or data scraping.
  • C# development experience.
  • Azure DevOps, source control, and branching strategies.
  • Data warehousing, datamarts, and reporting databases.
  • Exposure to Data Science workflows and concepts.
