Overview
We are hiring two Senior Analytics Engineers to help build and scale customer-facing analytics capabilities that are embedded directly into a growing software platform.
This is not a traditional BI or reporting role. We are looking for candidates who think like product builders-professionals who can design, develop, and deliver analytics solutions that become part of the product experience rather than simply creating dashboards or responding to ad hoc reporting requests.
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience
- Advanced SQL expertise, including complex query development, data transformations, and relational database design
- Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Vertica, or similar database environments
- Strong analytics engineering, data modeling, and software development fundamentals
- Experience building end-to-end analytics products rather than solely reports or dashboards
- Ability to work effectively with ambiguity and incomplete requirements
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ownership mentality and ability to independently drive solutions from concept to delivery
Healthcare Experience (Highly Preferred)
Ideal candidates will have experience working with:
- Claims data
- Healthcare services data
- Transactional healthcare datasets
Candidates with purely patient advocacy or patient-facing analytics backgrounds may be less aligned with the team’s needs.
What Makes Someone Senior?
- Understands business problems before proposing technical solutions
- Can clearly explain design decisions and technical trade-offs
- Takes ownership rather than waiting for detailed direction
- Thinks strategically about how analytics solutions will be used by customers
- Can navigate ambiguity and drive projects to completion independently
Nice to Have
- Tableau or Looker experience
- Python development experience
- Git and version control workflows
- Shell scripting
- Linux or command-line experience
- Data visualization expertise
- Experience building user-facing analytics applications
- Exposure to data science methodologies and workflows
What This Role Is NOT
- Not a traditional reporting or dashboard-only position
- Not focused primarily on ad hoc business requests
- Not a purely BI-focused role
- Not limited to writing SQL queries without ownership of product outcomes
- Not a fit for candidates who have only worked in reporting environments with little exposure to software development practices or product thinking
Location & Compensation
Location: Fully Remote (Continental U.S. Only)
