The Role
Vice President of Data & Analytics that will lead and shape the organization's data-driven strategy. This executive-level position will be instrumental in driving business transformation by leveraging data to optimize decision-making, enhance operational performance, and fuel strategic growth. Reporting to senior leadership, you'll oversee a dynamic data function, from data engineering and infrastructure to predictive analytics and machine learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the company's long-term business goals and objectives.
  • Foster a data-first mindset across all departments, ensuring the organization views data as a core asset for driving business decisions.
  • Oversee the development and management of robust data infrastructure and platforms, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and compliant with industry regulations.
  • Spearhead the application of advanced analytics and AI to solve complex business challenges and deliver actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with various teams, translating business needs into effective data solutions and measurable outcomes.
  • Establish and enforce best practices around data quality, governance, and stewardship, ensuring data integrity and availability across the organization.
  • Design and implement modern data ecosystems, including cloud data platforms, pipelines, and business intelligence tools to empower the team with reliable, self-service analytics.
  • Drive the delivery of clear, data-driven insights through intuitive reporting, dashboards, and KPIs, using tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
  • Build, mentor, and grow high-performing teams across data engineering, data science, and analytics functions.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data science, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling data platforms and analytics functions in fast-paced environments.
  • Advanced expertise in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Practical experience applying AI and machine learning techniques to solve business problems.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Strong understanding of the eCommerce or manufacturing sectors, with a passion for enabling data-driven decisions across the business.
