This role is an exciting opportunity to help work across newly launched personal finance products in the US market. This business is rapidly growing, and you will be at the forefront of building out their America presence.
THE COMPANY
This company is working on loans, credit cards, and car finance and aim to get money in customers hands in only a few minutes, not days. They are one of the fastest growing fintech companies in the UK, and are profitable, meaning they are undergoing rapid growth.
THE ROLE
You will be doing the following daily:
- Manage a team of 2 data scientists dedicated to working across the US products.
- Develop behavioural scorecards, using machine learning techniques.
- Identify issues, translate business problems, analyse, and create tailored solutions.
- Design, implement, and manage experiments of new products and services contributing to innovation and improvement within the business.
- Work with a diverse range of leaders and stakeholders.
- Research new data sources to advise on costs/benefits of lending decisions.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Excellent analytical skills, with strong skills in Python, and SQL.
- Strong knowledge of the credit industry, including products, data, machine learning, and related regulations.
- Hands on experience across the credit risk model lifecycle, with experience building scorecards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill.
- STEM degree from a Russell group university.

- Develop, maintain, and optimise transaction and payment fraud strategies across the business.
- Maximize fraud detection rates while minimising false positives.
- Enhance fraud mitigation for all card payments, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, with a focus on phishing attacks and fraudulent card provisioning requests.
- Implement fraud prevention tools and tactical changes in collaboration with IT and Operations teams.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive reporting suite to meet both internal fraud monitoring and external regulatory reporting requirements.
- Utilise a variety of analytical and visualisation tools and techniques.
