Potential Contract-to-Hire

A fast-growing social media platform is looking for a UX Researcher to embed within its Core Product Squad, owning research strategy and execution for one of the company's most active and high-impact product areas.

This is a highly autonomous role suited to a scrappy, product-minded mixed methods researcher who thrives in lean teams, moves quickly, and proactively identifies opportunities for research that directly shape product decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Proactively identify research opportunities without relying on a formal intake process
  • Build close partnerships with Product Management, Design, and Data teams
  • Create lightweight, actionable research plans that keep pace with product development
  • Conduct mixed methods research, including both qualitative and quantitative approaches
  • Design and analyse surveys to inform product strategy and feature decisions
  • Deliver fast, high-quality insights through lightweight communication channels (e.g. Slack, readouts, workshops)
  • Translate findings into clear product recommendations and behavioural implications
  • Connect research outputs directly to product outcomes, user behaviour, and roadmap decisions
  • Help evolve research workflows by integrating AI-enabled tools and processes
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

What They're Looking For

Core Experience

  • Proven UX Research experience
  • Strong mixed methods expertise
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Qualitative research
    • Survey design
    • Survey analysis
    • Quantitative interpretation (without requiring deep statistical specialism)
  • Proven ability to work embedded within product squads
  • Strong experience translating research into practical product recommendations

The ideal person is:

  • A self-starter who spots opportunities independently
  • Comfortable in small, less process-heavy organisations
  • Highly effective running quick, scrappy research
  • Able to balance rigour with pace
  • Product curious and fast at building domain understanding
  • Strong at connecting user feedback to specific feature or behavioural changes
  • Comfortable operating without heavy structure or multiple approval layers
