Data Engineer - Fivetran Expert

Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite 4 days/week)
Compensation: Up to $160,000 Base Salary + Bonus
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with deep expertise in Fivetran to join our growing data and analytics team. This individual will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable data integration solutions that power business intelligence, analytics, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leveraging Fivetran to build and manage automated ELT pipelines, integrate data from multiple source systems, and support enterprise-scale cloud data platforms. Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, or FinTech environments is highly preferred but not required.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data integration pipelines using Fivetran and modern cloud-based data technologies.
  • Configure, manage, and optimize Fivetran connectors for a wide variety of source systems, including SaaS platforms, databases, APIs, and enterprise applications.
  • Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot synchronization issues, and ensure reliable data delivery across the organization.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and data consumers to understand and deliver data requirements.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise data warehouse solutions within Snowflake and other cloud data platforms.
  • Implement data quality, governance, and monitoring frameworks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Optimize data ingestion performance, pipeline efficiency, and overall platform cost management.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for data integrations, architecture, workflows, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts, BI Developers, and Data Scientists to support reporting, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, connector failures, schema changes, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the organization's overall data strategy and modernization efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, Data Warehousing, or related roles.
  • Expert-level experience with Fivetran, including connector configuration, deployment, monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse platforms.
  • Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills.
  • Hands-on experience designing and managing scalable ELT pipelines and modern data architectures.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple source systems, including SaaS applications, relational databases, APIs, and cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling principles, data warehousing concepts, and analytics-ready data structures.
  • Experience implementing data validation, monitoring, and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, or FinTech environments.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with transformation frameworks such as dbt.
  • Experience with orchestration and workflow tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
  • Experience supporting BI and analytics platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DataOps practices, and modern data stack architectures.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
