Senior Performance Analysis Manager

Up to £72,000 + Benefits | Hybrid (UK Wide) | Occasional Travel

Are you an experienced performance leader who thrives on data, strategy, and delivering results? We're recruiting a Senior Performance Analysis Manager to lead a high-performing team focused on performance measurement and improvement across a major UK transport network.

About the Role
As part of a wider performance function, you'll lead the performance measurement team (4 direct reports plus 1 indirect) to deliver accurate reporting, strategic forecasting, and insights that drive operational improvements.

This is a strategic leadership position that involves building and executing performance plans, managing performance risks, and working closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders across a dynamic, high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis and attribution of delays and cancellations

  • Own performance reporting, forecasting, and target-setting

  • Develop and implement long-term performance strategy and risk assurance

  • Manage and mentor a growing team of analysts and performance experts

  • Build and maintain data models for forecasting and risk quantification

  • Deliver bespoke analysis and visualisations (Power BI experience a plus)

  • Use data to influence and support operational decision-making

What We're Looking For

  • Strong analytical and forecasting experience

  • Proven stakeholder and team management skills

  • Ability to lead data strategy and translate insights into action

  • Experience with performance risk and model development

  • Knowledge of high-volume data analysis

  • Interest in emerging technologies like AI (desirable)

  • Industry background in rail/transport a plus - but not essential

Location & Working Style

  • Hybrid working - flexibility to work from home

  • Base office in London or Birmingham

  • Occasional on-site presence may be required (pre-planned and infrequent)

  • Open to candidates across the UK - results matter more than location

Why Apply?

  • Salary up to £72,000 + strong benefits package

  • Join a mission-driven team with national impact

  • Flexible working environment with minimal travel

  • Opportunity to shape strategy and lead meaningful performance improvements

Interview Process

  • 1st Stage: Face-to-face interview in London or Birmingham + pre-prepared task

  • Fast-track process due to immediate team needs
