Job Title: Senior Analytics Consultant
Location: United Kingdom (Hybrid)

About the company:

I'm working with a digital consultancy at the forefront of data-driven transformation within the sports industry. They partner with some of the world's most recognised football organisations to deliver strategic, technology-enabled solutions that enhance engagement and performance. Key clients include Arsenal FC, Brighton & Hove Albion FC, and leading football councils, and they are proud to support journeys with tailored analytics, CRM integration, and digital strategy.

Role Overview:

My client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Analytics Consultant to join a growing team. In this high-impact role, you will lead complex data science initiatives and guide strategic decision-making across a portfolio of client projects. You will play a key part in developing advanced recommendation systems, improving CRM workflows, and enabling actionable insights through data visualisation and analytics.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and clients, manage a small team of analysts and data scientists, and oversee the delivery of analytics projects from inception through to execution. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, analytics, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of recommendation algorithms and personalised content strategies for digital platforms, including work with top-tier football clubs such as Arsenal FC.

Oversee digital engagement and reporting initiatives for international football tournaments, ensuring robust data pipelines into tools such as Power BI.

Provide strategic guidance and hands-on support during CRM system migrations, including customer data ingestion and integration from legacy data warehouses (e.g., Brighton FC CRM implementation).

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project scope, statements of work (SoWs), and deliverables.

Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring their data requirements are understood, communicated, and delivered effectively.

Ensure data integrity and optimal use of cloud-based data infrastructure across all analytics projects.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience in data science, analytics, or data analytics engineering in a commercial or customer-focused environment.

Strong expertise in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and algorithm development.

Proficiency in business intelligence and data visualisation tools, including Power BI and Looker.

Strong client-facing experience with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to lead technical teams while maintaining a strategic view across multiple projects and timelines.

Desirable Skills

Experience with Google Analytics and other digital analytics tools.

Background in customer analytics or personalisation, particularly within consumer-facing industries.

Experience working in or with the sports, media, or entertainment sectors.

What they offer:

You'll be part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values innovation, curiosity, and impact. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-profile, data-driven projects that shape the future of sports engagement. You'll have the chance to work with cutting-edge tools and technologies while influencing the digital strategies of some of the most iconic football brands in the world.
