Director of HR Technology
Location: Dallas, TX (On-site)
Salary: Up to $280,000
This is a rare opportunity to define the long-term technology strategy for enterprise HR platforms-not simply maintain what’s already in place. The organization is looking for a technical leader who can modernize existing systems, drive AI and automation initiatives, and build the technology foundation that will support the business for years to come.
If you’ve successfully transformed enterprise HR platforms before and enjoy building roadmaps rather than inheriting them, this is an opportunity to have a lasting impact.
The Opportunity
You’ll lead a global HR Technology organization responsible for the architecture, delivery, and evolution of critical HR platforms supporting a large, international workforce.
This role combines technical leadership, people leadership, and strategic planning. You’ll partner closely with senior business and technology leaders to shape the future of HR technology while leading a global team of approximately 20-25 engineers, architects, and technical specialists.
Rather than focusing on day-to-day platform administration, you’ll be responsible for defining where the organization goes next.
Why This Role Stands Out
Build the Future, Don’t Maintain the Past
This isn’t a “keep the lights on” leadership position.
You’ll define the technology roadmap for HR platforms over the next several years, establishing the architecture, standards, and operating model that future teams will build upon.
Lead a Genuine Modernization
The current HR technology landscape has served the business well but relies heavily on manual processes and legacy workflows.
You’ll lead a large-scale modernization effort focused on simplifying operations, improving user experience, and creating a more scalable, intelligent platform.
Shape the AI Strategy
The organization has a clear vision to introduce AI-driven automation across HR operations.
From conversational employee experiences to intelligent workflow automation and self-service capabilities, you’ll play a central role in defining how AI is incorporated into the HR technology ecosystem over the next two to three years.
Strategic Leadership
You’ll serve as a trusted technology partner to senior HR and IT leadership, influencing enterprise technology decisions and helping shape long-term investment priorities.
This is a highly visible role with meaningful input into business strategy-not simply technical delivery.
Global Scale
You’ll lead a globally distributed team of approximately 22-25 technology professionals across the US and India, supporting enterprise platforms used by a large international workforce operating within a complex regulatory environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Define the long-term architecture and roadmap for enterprise HR technology platforms.
- Lead a global team responsible for HR applications, integrations, and platform engineering.
- Drive modernization initiatives across enterprise HR systems.
- Build AI-powered automation and employee self-service capabilities.
- Improve platform scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with HR, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and Data teams.
- Establish technical standards, governance, and platform best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve the employee experience through automation and intelligent workflows.
- Lead technical transformation programs from strategy through delivery.
Technology Environment
You’ll work across a modern enterprise HR technology stack that includes:
- Oracle HCM Cloud
- UKG
- Databricks
- Enterprise integrations
- AI and conversational technologies
- Cloud-based enterprise platforms
What They’re Looking For
- Experience leading enterprise HR Technology or HRIS organizations.
- Strong Oracle HCM expertise, including architecture, integrations, and platform strategy.
- Experience modernizing large-scale enterprise HR platforms.
- Proven success leading technical teams through transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integrations, governance, security, and compliance.
- Experience implementing automation, AI, workflow orchestration, or digital employee experiences.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders across both business and technology functions.
- Experience operating within large, global organizations.
Preferred Experience
- Oracle HCM certifications.
- UKG experience.
- Exposure to Databricks or enterprise data platforms.
- Experience implementing chatbot, conversational AI, or intelligent self-service capabilities.
- Experience supporting global HR organizations across multiple regions.
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to build something meaningful.
Rather than inheriting a fully mature environment, you’ll have the chance to shape the future direction of enterprise HR technology, modernize critical business platforms, and establish the technology foundation that will support the organization for years to come.
For someone who enjoys transformation, platform strategy, AI adoption, and leading high-performing technical teams, this represents a genuine opportunity to leave a lasting impact.

- Experience with Databricks or modern enterprise data platforms.
- DevSecOps leadership experience.
- Experience implementing enterprise chatbot or self-service automation platforms.
- Background leading digital employee experience or workforce technology transformation initiatives.
Why Join

- Lead a multi-year modernization initiative focused on AI, automation, self-service, and next-generation employee experiences.
- Partner directly with executive leadership and HR executives to influence enterprise-wide technology strategy.
- Build and lead a global engineering organization with significant ownership, visibility, and autonomy.
