In this role, you will be the first data hire within this growing investment management firm. The business invests in physical assets and has systems in place to monitor the performance but lacks the data platform that will allow them to make decisions.
THE COMPANY:
This company essentially operate as a private equity firm for listed buildings. They have grown significantly over the last 20 years, seeing a boom pre pandemic. Since then, their growth has decelerated allowing them to invest in areas believed to help further growth. The CEO realises the potential of the data they could have and is assessing ways of monetising data products.
THE ROLE:
You will be going in as the Lead Data Engineer, working alongside the analytics team to help fullfil their requirements. The business has invested in Snowflake but requires someone to lead the transformation from their legacy data sets onto the modern cloud environment. You will be setting up brand new pipelines, as well as the infrastructure to ensure stability.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal Lead Data Engineer will have:
- Experience liaising with C-level stakeholders to manage expectations
- Built out a Snowflake warehouse from scratch
- Advanced programming skills to setup up automated data pipelines
- Worked with analytics team to help curate the data for their dashboards

The Role
